Amstelveen, Netherlands and Munich, Germany, February 19, 2026 – Publisher Mindscape and Developer Aesir Interactive are excited to share new behind-the-scenes footage for the upcoming game The Legend of Khiimori.



Music has always been at the heart of every unforgettable game experience, and The Legend of Khiimori is no exception. Composing for this world is particularly inspiring because the game isn’t just set in Mongolia, it takes place in the 13th century, which is rich with distinctive sounds and cultural depth.

This setting gives our audio team an incredible playground filled with unique instruments, rhythms, and traditions to explore. The music changes throughout the game. It adapts to the different biomes you’ll encounter on your journey, such as the wide steps, scorching desert, and snowy mountain peaks.

To bring this authenticity to life, we’re collaborating with the traditional Mongolian band Khukh Mongol, as well as Zolzaya Boldbaatar, master of the Morin Khuur (the horsehead fiddle).
