Battle Vision Network will launch in 2026

The studio announces a change of path for the colourful puzzle battler.

Toronto, Canada - February 19th: Capybara Games, the award-winning development studio behind Below, Grindstone and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP has announced a major change in direction for their upcoming color matching title Battle Vision Network, and set a 2026 release date for the game on PC.

Battle Vision Network puts players at the helm of a team progressing through an intergalactic sporting spectacle. They will discover a deep puzzle experience, approachable and compelling, through magnetic and quirky characters in the middle of an immersive universe, accompanied by gameplay that slowly reveals rich complexity and strategic depth.

Since its announcement in 2024, the focus of the game has evolved from a mobile-first, live-service, season-based competitive 1v1 game, to a PC-first, single-player campaign experience with a roguelike inspired progression.

“Battle Vision Network’s development has been a windy path. We had some great years working with Netflix on a live-service, mobile-focused version of the game. After finding BVN outside of their changing strategy in late 2024, we’ve had the opportunity to reshape the game for other platforms - and we’ve been even more excited about the new direction we’ve taken it.” said Eileen Hollinger, President of Capy Games.

A Multiplayer mode is still the game’s roadmap but it’s not the focus of the game any longer. The Capybara Games team plans to launch the game later this year on PC, with other platforms likely to follow down the road.

Players can wishlist Battle Vision Network on Steam, stay tuned for more details on Capybara Games’ Website, Bluesky and Youtube.
