June 9, 2025 – Dallas, Texas — Publisher Crytivo and PJ Games, a studio formed through a collaboration between Platige Image and Juggler Games, are thrilled to announce their publishing partnership for the upcoming title The Whims of the Gods. As part of this partnership, a public demo will debut during Steam Next Fest, starting Monday, June 9, 2025, giving players their first opportunity to experience the game’s unique blend of cooperative city-building, divine interaction, and tactical survival gameplay.
Set in a richly imagined world inspired by ancient Mesoamerican civilizations, The Whims of the Gods redefines the city-builder genre by introducing dynamic divine events, a deep tech tree, strategic auto-battler combat, and true two-player online co-op. Players must build, survive, and outwit the whims of mischievous deities — who both bless and endanger their civilizations.
