Anyone play these? I played Gemstone for a long time... though when I became a Christian I found it difficult to get back into text games because most of them require role playing to some degree... and I find it hard to RP idolatry, I just can't do it...

I do not play RP games because I would also have a difficult time with some of the situations.

It's great to hear about your experience with Gemstone! I can understand how transitioning into a different mindset can affect your enjoyment of role-playing games. Finding games that align with your values can be challenging, but there are definitely text-based games out there that focus more on storytelling and exploration without the need for heavy role-playing. Have you considered looking into games that emphasize adventure or puzzle-solving instead?
