Thank you Brook for sending us an aqua blue controller to review!
We’ve been blessed with an opportunity to review Brook’s Wingman XB Controller Converter and know that they make good gaming hardware. With the rise of female and young gamers, Brook saw a need for a smaller and gender-neutral controller. Not only does the Vivid controller provide ergonomic comfort, but it’s also loaded with features including rapid fire, macro recording, vibration, and a 6-axis gyroscopic sensor. You can adjust the vibration intensity and lower the sensitivity of the joysticks to steady your hand in FPS games.
The Brook Vivid Wireless Controller is lightweight (7.8oz) and shouldn’t be a burden for young and old gamers alike to use. The battery life is impressive at ten to twelve hours per charge. Charging will take roughly three hours and uses a USB-C charging cable.
Strong Points: Comfortable and responsive controller that supports vibration, turbo mode, and macro recording
Weak Points: People with big hands may not like the smaller size of this controller
Currently, there are two colors to choose from: Aqua and Sunshine. Further customization can be done with the included joystick covers to tell similarly colored controllers apart. Most of the controllers out there have darker colors, so these vibrant options do stand out. Given all of the included features, the $40 asking price is quite reasonable. The only downside is that this controller is geared toward younger audiences so adult gamers with big hands may not find the gamepad comfortable.
Style-wise, the Brook Vivid Wireless Controller feels like a hybrid of the Nintendo Pro Controller and the Xbox Series X controller. The plastic shell feels sturdy and should be able to survive some occasional drops. The buttons feel nice, are easy to get too, and are responsive. The joysticks are nice and loose too. The ability to change their responsiveness is quite nice. I saw a review on Amazon from a customer not liking the D-pad, but I have no issues with it.
Like most Switch controllers, you can press the home button to turn on and pair the controller. To initially pair the controller, I connected it to my Switch with the USB cable and it’s been working well since.

On the back of the controller is a switch to toggle the macro recording or efficiency shooting mode. The macro can record up to twenty-five button presses and unleash them all with the press of one of the two buttons (AL or AR) available in the back. If you don’t like having to press certain buttons repeatedly, the Turbo feature will alleviate that for you. The turbo mode supports 5, 10, and 15 second increments.
Overall, the Brook Vivid Wireless controller is a great option for Android, iOS, PC, and Switch gamers that have Bluetooth or USB-C connectivity. This controller has lots of great features for a reasonable price. As of this review, Amazon is offering a 5% off coupon code.
