New Playable Character and Battle Pass Among New Content
TOKYO — Oct. 15, 2025 — Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) released the Version 2.30 update to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR), developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam platforms. This update comes with the new playable character Meg and new content such as illustrations, stickers, as well as additional in-game content included with Premium Battle Pass Round 10. It will also include previously released content from Premium Battle Pass Round 5, as well as changes to the ranked match system.

Version 2.30 was released on Oct. 15 and introduces the new playable character Meg in addition to the content included with Battle Pass Round 10.

Meg is now obtainable as a DLC character. This addition to the roster includes a premium avatar of her that can be set as a partner character to give you advice and support while playing, a character badge, and more!
Meg (Voice: Elsie Lovelock [EN] / Tomoyo Kurosawa [JP])
Once an ordinary girl with dreams of a scenic vacation in Auguste, she was thrust into the role of its guardian when a series of bizarre monster attacks threatened its shores. Joined by her gal pal Mari and shark companion Ursula, she draws upon the shark fu skills she picked up from a correspondence course to protect her beloved Auguste.

New Versus Ranks Now Available!
As of Version 2.30, players can climb to two new Versus ranks: Silver Master and Gold Master. Master point distribution will be adjusted to accommodate for the new ranks.
New Rank Requirements:
Master Rank: 0–199 points required
Silver Master Rank: 200–499 points required
Gold Master Rank: 500+ points required
New profile card colors can be unlocked by achieving Silver Master and Gold Master ranks. The top ten players for any given character will still be classified as Grand Master, which takes priority over the three ranks listed above, regardless of points accumulated. Photo Contest Winners’ Profile Card Designs Added!
During the August 2025 Granblue Fantasy Summer Live Stream, the grand prize winner and runner-up of the second GBVSR Photo Contest were announced. These two entries have now been added to the in-game rupie shop as profile card designs, available to all players.

New Lobby Avatar and Costume Coming with Battle Pass Round 10
Battle Pass Round 10 includes additional in-game items that can be unlocked, such as character illustrations, stickers, music, badges, trophies, and more. A new lobby avatar, Mari, is also included.
