Internet Culture Horror Game oneway.exe Buffers to Develop More Dread, Now Launching Oct. 22
THE INTERNET – October 6, 2025 – oneway.exe: Module 1.0, a first-person single-player horror puzzle game where the darkest corners of the Internet become reality from Disordered Media, will be postponed until Oct. 22, 2025, to allow for [REDACTED] additional development time.
It takes a certain kind of Internet sicko to have even heard of UNTITLED.EXE. But that’s you, isn’t it? Just cursed with curiosity. All you know is what you can find on the dark web: it’s an infamously unfinished game, and the three developers responsible each met a grisly end.
You just had to keep digging, didn’t you, little internet explorer? Now the only way out is through: navigate digital decay to solve puzzles and survive encounters with terrifying characters representing different horror subgenres.
“The decision to delay oneway.exe: Module 1.0 isn’t an easy one to make, but it is an important one,” said Spider Ray, co-founder of Disordered Media. “We want to deliver a horror experience that meets both our expectations and those of our passionate fan community. oneway.exe is a loveletter to the horror media and internet culture that shaped our lives, so it’s important that we take the extra time to make it the best – and scariest – version it can be. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to unleashing oneway.exe: Module 1.0 on Oct. 22, 2025!”
oneway.exe: Module 1.0 will arrive on PC and Mac via Steam on Oct. 22, 2025. For more information, visit the Disordered Media website, join the official Discord, check out the oneway.exe ARG (if you dare), and follow @disorderedgames on X/Twitter.
