Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days’ Second Major Update Adds Survivor Infection, Difficulty Settings, Zombie Variants and More
WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND – July 22, 2025 – Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, the shelter survival game set in a zombie-infested Texas from PikPok, unleashes new horrors with its second Early Access content update, now available on Steam.
No one said survival was easy, but Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days’ Early Access Update #2 ratchets up the tension by introducing new zombie types to overcome. Further compounding the dire state of Walton, Texas, are new infection mechanics that make each interaction with zombie hordes all the more deadly.
Early Access Update #2 Key Features and Content:
Survivor Infection System: Fighting back against zombies is more dangerous than ever, as survivors now have a chance to become infected after an enemy encounter. In the event that untreated infections turn survivors into zombies, prepare for difficult decisions about exiling members from their shelter.
New Zombie Threats: New zombie variants now stalk the streets of Walton, with players forced to adapt to their unpredictable behavior.
New Survivor: Meet Vince, the newest recruitable survivor, a troubled teen from a wealthy Texas family with an anti-authority streak…
Difficulty Settings: Tailor each trip to Walton with pre-set difficulty settings of Casual, Normal or Hard, or create a customized nightmare by tweaking various game elements.
New Localization: Thai language support is now available!
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is available on Steam for $24.99. The Early Access Update #2 is available for all owners of the base game. For more information, wishlist the game on Steam, visit the official website, and follow the game on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and Discord.
