I watched it up to season I think 7 and gave it up because they cussed WAY too much.

I loved psych, but I really feel like the last two seasons went down hill fast in terms of quality... (character becoming caricatures of themselves, plot facts suddenly changing between episodes, etc)

Ahh yes, the Flanderization trope (characters becoming caricatures of former selves). It strikes most shows that make it past ~5 or 6 seasons.
