I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does that. O_o

Where do you stand on the sharp edged dice (casino dice, typically) vs standard round-edged dice, debate?

I ... didn't know there was a debate, actually.... As long as the dice rolls fairly, does it really matter?

That's kinda the question, though. There have been studies (several, I think, though I know of one in particular Arctic posted in the tabletop gaming section) which show that round-edged dice (specifically Games Workshop and Chessex) with recessed pips actually roll 1's more often than Casino dice.

I have seen this, in a game where one player used casino dice and other used normal dice. He was getting beaten badly, and switched to the casino dice after the first game. XD

It's not that they don't roll ones. They just roll ones and sixes evenly.

Allergies?

When gaming, I often don't use dice with pips.

That being said, as long as they aren't loaded (and I have had to confiscate one die that was designed to cheat, oddly enough), I don't really mind what dice my players use when I'm running a game. We're not playing for money, after all. :)

Stink. I used to be allergic to long-haired cats, but I think I've outgrown it. My wife, on the other hand, has had her allergies get more severe as she gets older. It used to be that she would only react to almonds. But now she can't have any nuts - including peanuts - without having at least a mild allergic reaction to them. She suspects that it has something to do with toxins and metal buildups in her body, though, so she's been planning on doing some sort of a purge to see if it would help.

I want to get some Casino dice just because I love they way they look. And their size. That said, I stumbled across these last night, and I've sorta changed my mind. I love dem. <3

Think anyone would have a problem playing against them though?

I would hope not. Those are called spindle dice, and they come in other sizes, too. You can find them on Crystal Caste's Web site, as well as a few others.

While you're visiting Crystal Caste, be sure to check out their Dwarven Stones. (Was someone snickering? I thought I heard someone giggling when I said "Dwarven Stones....") In any case, they are gems made from actual semiprecious stones. I think it's a cool idea, and although I'm not sure how well they would roll, it would be cool to have a set. :)

Oh yes. I want those. So expensive, but amazingly beautiful. The stones, too. Seems handy it your opponent was being annoying. >_> At the same time though, you'd really need to be careful is rolling near models. O_o

Planet Hulk?

Great point. I hadn't thought about that. Could be a good way to chip your miniatures or your dice.

Is that the series where Red Hulk ended up taking over the world? Not a pleasant place to live....

Actually, it's when the Illuminati/Heroes of Earth become so afraid of Hulk, that they knock him out and ship him off into outer space, ostensibly to a friendly world without sentient species. Which of course means that he ends up on a barren desert world with a focus on Gladitorial combat. :D Good movie, haven't read the comic. Not exactly kid friendly, though.

Spine aches?

It's a movie? I don't think I've ever heard of it....

I love them! There's nothing more thrilling than waking up and feeling like it hurts to move!

...

Actually, I don't like them at all. I just wanted to know what your reaction would be if I said I liked them. :P I recommend a good chiropractor.

Do you like the My Little Pony TV show, if you don't mind my asking? :o 8) :)

I don't mind you asking at all. That's what this thread is here for!

I don't mind the television show, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. If it weren't for my daughters, I may have watched an episode or two just because I'm a big Tara Strong fan (she voices Twilight Sparkle, as you probably know), but that would be the extent of it.

However, my girls - especially the youngest one - are huge fans of the franchise. They have several of the toys, adore the surprise of the collectible grab-bag mini-ponies, and watch the TV shows on Netflix quite often. Most of what I've learned from the program has been through them, or on my own in an attempt to impress them with what a "cool dad" they have. 8)

Sure thing! Just remember, the quality of the answers may vary, based on how tired I am and how much chocolate I've eaten recently.

Or bacon.

Or chocolate-covered bacon.

Mmmmm... bacon....

If you had to choose, would you pick a world without bacon or a world without chocolate?
