He's a character from a really old series of books...Boy genius inventor out to better mankind...they're kinda cheesy, but still fun to read.

Oro; Remake yes.
Follow up, NO!
As a remake it's nice, it has more seriousness in it and seems more realistic. In this one it seems like they amplified the story and its caracters by going in deeper into the caracters past and what they do thus making it stronger. Just watching the trailer gives me goosebumps, it's gonna be a good movie.
