So it depends on whether the snake has it mostly digested?

Also, I'm pretty glad about that. I have to watch my dog like a hawk, otherwise she'll steal my food. And I was like "Schnap, I bet a snake wouldn't do that."

My mom said if I ate with a snake anywhere around me, something was wrong with me. XD

So..are you like a cigarette, burning burning every night? O_O

Yeah, really depends on whether or not it's digested. XD

...

Nothing wrong with you if you eat with a snake around you.

Well.

There may be something wrong with you, but that means it's wrong with you and I both. <_<

Yes I want to BURN. I want to BURN BURN!

<_>

I can accept that. The idea of eating after others bothers me, yet the idea of eating with a snake does not. XD

OK, so how would the cage get set up? The under tank heater at one end, and a hide on both ends, but where does the light and water dish go?

You want the water dish on the cold side (opposite side of the basking spot), and the light in the middle/towards the warm side.

Also, a word of advice... don't go with those dial thermometers and humidity gauges you find everywhere. They... are useless. I used them for a while... and dude. They just aren't accurate.

This is what those baddies look like:

I recommend either a digital thermo with a probe that goes on the inside of the cage and the temp reader on the outside (they're pretty cheap)... or one of the ones that looks like this:

Just... advice from someone who's learned his lesson. XD

Sure I'll go hunting.

But I'll be catching, not killing. <3 them pythons.

Love pythons eh?

Even the big one that tried to kill James Bond in Moonraker?

Me write a book = :O

Sometimes. Can be risky, cuz snake is... strong. Not that it'd try to kill me, but it's been known that a boa, just by hanging on, can... squeeze. Tightly. o.O

That makes sense.

Would you want a basilisk as a pet?

I'd give a kidney and half a liver.

The kidney for the basilisk...the liver for a pair of glasses that would allow me to look at it without becoming stone. Or I wonder if they can be trained out of that?

Possibly.
