Depends on what you mean... if you are talking about electronic devices that can play music, I'd have to say a MacBook Pro. If you're talking about electric instruments... I'm still tempted to say the MacBook Pro, but I'll go with electric guitar instead.

That is because its black powder both in the fuse and in the rocket, who consists of Sodium Nitrate, Sulphur and Charcoal, eventualla Sodium perchlorate instead of black powder.
It Carries it own oxygen, and gives off more heat than the water can transfer away. So gunpowder will keep on burning in water.

This stuff is amazingly cool. We use it ourselves - we sprinkle an area that we've had chickens in, and it'll kill all the mites that like to live in their legs. I've heard that there is a food-grade version of the stuff that can be used as a parasite cleanse, but I've never tried it myself.

At the moment, the DE is just sitting around, being dust. And I don't think we have plans for it (since insecticide wise, we've actually got a 20 bag of animal grade. O_O). So some ideas would be great.

Well, my name appears in the manual as a beta tester, so there's that going for it.

Other than that, the storyline is pretty much the same as the original, first Avernum (and before that, the first Exile). The gameplay has been simplified somewhat, in that the player has much more control over what skills he or she can allocate points into (no more hidden skills, for starters). The graphics also are much, much better.

Altogether, if you haven't played the original - or never got very far - it can be a worthwhile addition to your Steam library. If you've finished the original game already, then expect a lot of the material to feel like a retread of what you've already gone through (if you liked it, then go for it! If not, then you may as well pass).

Perhaps I should have included a link to my review of the original Avernum series to give you a better idea of what the gameplay is like... but you're on the review board, so I'm sure you've read it before, anyway. In any case, have fun, and if you need any hints, tips or advice, I may be able to help you.

It used to be, in the early Exile games, that you had to keep food around in order to survive. In the Avernum games - except for the sixth game - it simply serves as a low-budget healing potion when out in the fields. Have your people eat it for a quick pick-me-up, or simply sell it, if you wish.

There are lots of artifacts from the earlier games. Such as weights on some of the items that you can't equip. I asked Jeff Vogel about that while I was beta-testing - why are their weights on items when they have no effect on your encumbrance? (Encumbrance is only affected by items your characters are wearing or have in their hands, not in the inventory or even the "quick use" items.) His response to me? Some players complained when he removed that information. I guess some people just like meaningless stats....

Interesting...Now that you've said that, I feel better, as I was already pondering inventory management. XD In fact, I like that very much. And it makes more sense, when you consider it.

I'm also really loving the fact I can tailor my characters how I want them. I mean, in most RPG's, I can do that within classes. But here, I can give my magic heavy character melee attacks and holy spells, and give my warrior a few magics so he's not stuck. :O It's amazing. And the open world of it all...I haven't even found the "main" quest.

That kind of flexibility is very nice. Outside of the Elder Scrolls, it's hard to find that kind of optimization in designing characters.

It also can be used as a strategic element. Eventually you'll find demons that specifically go after spellcasters and can nullify magic use, basically making them puny meat shields. Some players have found a workaround to this - by giving their fighter-types one rank in a spellcasting ability, the demons will charge at them instead... which is exactly what the players wanted in the first place.

And the open world of it all...I haven't even found the "main" quest.

By now you've received hints of them. Yes, them - there are actually three "main quests," and you can win with all three of them with the same party, if you'd like.

I've never had this happen to me. I've had the opposite happen, though - drinking something only to find out later that it does have caffeine. Usually with cream sodas.
