It's an "old reliable" as far as the genre goes.

Monster Hunter.

Lagiacrus? Slaughtered.

On one hand, the thrill of defeating these monsters is pleasant. I learned the hard way that the game is about hunting, not just "get a big blade and slash the monster till it bleets". You pretty much have to use bombs, traps, and various physical augmentations. It's pretty sweet to finally take down a big monster and know you actually planned it, rather than just beat it down.

On the other...I'm not a fan of killing animals, even in self defense. Capturing them is an option, but not an easy one. It's also sad to know that you've just ended the life of a creature that is, in all honesty, rather beautiful, if frightening.

FlatOut 2. Started the career mode, finished two tournaments and a derby. But I just can't seem to get the hang of the special events such as trick jumps and such, I can never finish in the top 3 in them. Thankfully they aren't absolutely required to progress in the game and I like the races and derbies more anyway.

Monster Hunter Tri.

You spend a very large portion of the game working your way towards fighting a legendary monster called a "Lagiacrus". It's a really big sea dragon with a nasty temper, the ability to breath lightning instead of fire (and really, how useful would fire be to a seadragon?) and reflexes that would make a Felyne (MS version of a cat) jealous.

And I killed it with a challenging battle, but one not really worth the reputation. I was somewhat disappoint.
Spoiler:
And then I found out that the Lagiacrus was not the final hunt of the game, but only the opener to the five star "Wow are you kidding me" challenging hunts. XD The disappoint was gone, and in it's place was "Oh schnap. I just got fregglythworped by that monster". I had to think up a word for it. These final monsters are big, nasty, and require a lourd of items and equipment to kill. I've barely been able to scratch a Diablos, to say nothing of this odd-looking dragon that lives in a volcano. O_o I'ma have to down another Lagiacrus to upgrade my longsword. Not only that ("that" being the six or seven huge, incredibly tough monsters to fight) there's something else I have to hunt named a "Ceadeus" which I've heard before and am somewhat frightened. XD
According to the clock, I've spent 50 hours in this game. Which is not something I expected. I honestly didn't think it would be this fun. Excellent game.

Have to start all over again, again.

Disappointed that the "Unlimited Ammo" players have terrible aim.

Wowwwww. I've been waiting 4 years for my parents to let me play this game and it was so worth the wait. I seriously can't think of any problems I have with this game. It's just amazing.

Bioshock FTW. ;) Seriously amazing, but you need to play something light and happy afterwards. XD

I last played Batman. I'm moving through this game too quickly. I'm addicted. :P

Monster Hunter Tri.

Just as bad as Morrowind in the addictiveness factor. I think I've hit 60 hours now. :P

I am, however, at the final hunt. Which is just plain freakish.

However, I could generally recommend this game to anyone. Mildly bloody when you strike a monster, and I 'spose if you created a female hunter you could walk around in your underwear and stare creepily at her. But that's...creepy. It's amazingly fun, and surprisingly tactical in nature; after the first few hunts, you can't simply beat the monsters until they bleat. You get dead real quick that way. There's also a lourd of different and big monsters to hunt.

No complaints at all. Aside from it hitting "Life draining" on the additive meter.
