If I was dead I wouldn't give a darn.

Meh, could be better, but I still have all my limbs and my mind (sort of).

Depending on what you mean by that, either yes or heck yes.

The car ride there was boring, stopped at Clingman's Dome on the way. After climbing that, the fog was too thick to see more than 15 feet ahead of you, so, wasted hike. Turns out our cabin is closer to Pigeon Forge than Gatlinburg.

Pigeon Forge is Hillbilly Vegas.

Had Wii, air hockey, pool, and fooseball tournaments that night.

Woke up at 0500 for breakfast, strapped on our gear and walked out the door to find a coon tearing through the trash. we drove to the base of MT. LeConte. Almost hit a boar on the way.

Going up the mountain was easy til the Alum Cave, after that it was moderate. One of our party ended up having diarrhea and having to run about a mile up the hardest part of the mountain. And then there were the 80-ish y/o men you said they had climbed it 70-ish times this year alone and practically jogged up the mountain. And tourists. Idiot tourists. Who wore sandals. And gave up within an hour. But annoying as all heck.

After that we went to the Apple Barn, which was kinda meh to me.

Sunday we went to Cade's Cove. And watched tourists clog traffic to see every deer. I mean small deer. Any deer. Some stopped for squirrels. We did see a bear. Around a 200lbs black bear. I was wondering why we worried about running into one on the mountain. tbqh I wouldn't have shot that if I could.

Played another round of pool that evening.

Monday we cleaned the cabin and left. Stopped by the SMKW on the way home. I also picked up a 5.56mm ammo can there. Got home around 0100 yesterday.

If J.R.R. Tolkien was still alive, would you give him a hug?
