To your knowledge, do snakes ever spit as a defense mechanism?

Yeah, depends on the species though. I imagine you're probably thinking of the King Cobra... which will spit venom into the eyes of an attacker to blind them.

Unless you know something that I don't...?

OH [use your imagination]

See, there was a snake outside our house, but I couldn't see it very well because it was dark. And our dog kept getting close to it and barking. Later he seemed okay but he kept rubbing his right eye, but none of us could see any bite-marks or anything. I hope he's okay..:(

What's the most favorite pet that you have/had?

Ah.

Yeah, it's possibly whatever snake it was spit something in his eye. I dunno, though. Not a whole lot of them do it. Sooo. I bet your dog is Okay.

Hmm.

My boa. Hands down the best snake I've ever owned. XD

Well, I was thinking it might have indeed been a cobra because it was raising its head up quite high, and although I couldn't see it that well, I'm not quite sure if my eyes were tricking me into seeing its neck flare out. But it's not like cobras are that uncommon around these parts. Or pythons, actually.

So..why snakes? What makes them so appealing to you?

Oh. I forgot where you lived for a second, sorry. Yeah... might wanna, say, play catch or something with your dog. Just to see if he's seeing alright and all. Just to be safe.

You know, that's a good question. I've always loved snakes. Like. Since before I can remember. My mom says I used to (actually, still do <_<) go out when really young and catch them. Plus, they're insanely easy to maintain. XD

All the time. If I see a snake, I'll more than likely go out of my way to catch it. I'm weird, I know. >)

Nah, I do it all the time. XD

Except when we're talking one's with fangs.

Ever feed a snake to your boa?

Well, it's not weird as much as it is TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME.

I wish I could overcome my fear of snakes as much to have one as a pet. But I probably couldn't and mom wouldn't let it in the house.

Lizards? I like lizards, you?

Ever sing karaoke?

lulz, yeah. With the exception of one type of rattler, we've got no venomous snakes in MI. Oh well. :P

haha, no. She'd not eat another snake. Boas are normally just rodent eaters. XD

Ah. Well, start by finding a harmless and small guy like a garter or ribbon snake. (though I don't know if they are native around you)

Then work your way up. :P

I love lizards. 4srs. One of my first pets was a little old green anole. Miss that thing, do I.

Uh. No. I've never sung karaoke. But. Lorne is making me seriously consider changing that. <_<

Lorne?

Name rings a bell, but I can't place it. It suspiciously makes me think of Corner Gas, but I can't be sure.

Want to assuage my curiosity?
