I only got one and I can't do anything with it XD
Rainbow Road?
Behold, the body of Adonis and the brain of a squirrel.

Can't remember if I've shown you this before, but it's one of my favorite Daft Punk live arrangements of all time:

Can you do anything with them? I thought they were like toy cars, that you just sorta played with.micah211 wrote:Rainbow Road
Always been a favorite track for me. The N64 one was punishing though, as launching wrong off a jump would send you flying off the track. XD And if you managed to nail a person with a turtle shell at the right time, you could cause that to happen.
Which is, essentially, all I need to laugh maniacally at my suddenly enraged cousin.

No complaints. I rather enjoyed listening to that.Deepfreeze32 wrote: Can't remember if I've shown you this before, but it's one of my favorite Daft Punk live arrangements of all time:

Yeah you can do most skateboard tricks with them... I can't though.
I like the Wii's version of rainbow road. It was the first "new" one they made in a while that actually frustrates me. Of course that was 10 years ago... And now I'm sad.
When you match make with friends who suck at games so you can be the top player?

When you're trying to learn something, and the tutorial/lesson skips over something vitally important and you are now lost?

I played the SNES Kart a few years after it released, and the N64 Kart when it was newly minted. XD I'm not bragging, I'm just saying a decade is not something that should make you sad.micah211 wrote: Fri May 12, 2017 11:53 am Yeah you can do most skateboard tricks with them... I can't though.

If you call it a 'teaching experience' you don't feel as guilty. >_> Unless you are so far above their pay grade you spend the entire match jumping from spawn kill to spawn kill and barely die at all.
In which case you may want to consider dialing it back a hair.

Not that I would know, of course.
Always enjoy those, "How much did I pay to learn this again?" moments.Deepfreeze32 wrote: When you're trying to learn something, and the tutorial/lesson skips over something vitally important and you are now lost?
Basically, I would call it the sign of a bad or inexperienced teacher. A lot of interwebs tutorials are monumentally bad at this because the author assumes you'll know that item X relates directly to item B, because they have either spent so long doing it that it's reflexive, or they're naturally talented at it and never had to learn it in step-by-step fashion.
Actually, I'm pretty bad about doing this. I've thought something through in my head from point A to point D, and only write points A, B, and D, because I forget that I haven't articulated point C since I've had it echoing in my head for the past three hours.
Basically, it's time to turn to Google.

In Overwatch if they don't see you attempting to play you get kicked. With that being said, their bad at every game.
When I play with them in Destiny I'd be getting 8k points out of Control.
Spawn killing is always an option, especially when it means the enemy team leaves and I'm getting a ton of experience XD
Do you ever watch Twitch streams?

Yeah, the issue with that is that sometimes the thing you are trying to learn is super obscure, or is part of a software package that is continually updating and thus Google results return conflicting information. Like "Oh, you should be using this!" Said thing was removed two versions ago. Adjust the search terms for the specific version. No results. Thank you, JMockit (A testing library I use at work), for constantly removing and adding things in each release to the point where Google is nigh useless. -_-
When you have a game idea, but don't have the talent or patience to wade through endless tutorials that don't help to turn it into an actual thing?

Ouch. Well, you could always just use sidearms or No Land Beyond. If that doesn't nerf you, you should be getting paid. XDmicah211 wrote: Mon May 15, 2017 11:59 am In Overwatch if they don't see you attempting to play you get kicked. With that being said, their bad at every game.

Not usually. Twitch doesn't seem to work as well as Youtube for me. But I'm not closed to the idea.
In that case you can only summon all your cheese and try one more time...then scream at it in pseudo-Russian.Deepfreeze32 wrote: Yeah, the issue with that is that sometimes the thing you are trying to learn is super obscure, or is part of a software package that is continually updating and thus Google results return conflicting information. That is pretty much me. Eventually, I am going to summon all my cheese and learn a programming language and a 3D modeling program to make my game development dream come to life.
Until that day...I can only dream.

Yeah. My problem is people say things like "Oh, just use Unity, it's free and easy!" And I'm like "In what world do you consider this crap 'easy?'" Because the way Unity abstracts code away is utterly baffling, and I find that the tutorials out there are either way, way too basic (Think "This is a programming language! Let's write hello world in it!") or assume entirely too much (Think "Using a standard character controller which you should already know how to make so we won't bother elaborating on it here...").
I also think the default shaders for Unity are ugly as sin. XD
I've tried Unreal Engine, and while that is much more sensible (It has very little abstraction, which I like), its documentation is much more scattershot. It's about 50/50 if the thing you want to do has a tutorial for it or not.
When the bass is wicked?
Listening to the boss fight theme below, the bass is just wild.

Mildly frightening, if fun. I mean...it's entertaining to catapult things through the air. But frightening because they're basically uncontrollable and un aimed. XDJesusIsLord713 wrote: Wed May 17, 2017 3:26 pm When you mow over something hard? (rocks, pine cones, plastic, etc)
My dad once launched a rock into our front door while mowing, which at the time had a huge glass window in the center. XD It's surprisingly loud when glass shatters.
And that's always fun times. I love going into a learning situation and immediately being made to feel like an inadequate idiot who should just go home. XD I also love basic tutorials that point you to other tutorials. It's like..."Hey, can you teach me how to make a game?"Deepfreeze32 wrote: Yeah. "Sure! You've done it a couple times before right?"
That bass is pretty extreme. XD Reminds me of the Megaman X games. I like it.

Yeah, I just want a tutorial that assumes you know how to program, and introduces game-specific stuff along the way.
Here's an idea: A choose-you-own-adventure-I mean tutorial website. So you want to make a game? Ok, we'll start with the basics that apply to everything, then you can get a crash course in the specific type of game you want to make. Making a 2D platformer? Ok, here's a tutorial that shows you how to make a super basic one, and you can modify it from there. A 3rd person shooter? Ok, here's a tutorial to get a chase camera set up and some weapons up and running.
I think it could really work! ...if I knew the first thing about how to make games. XD
Status ailments that cause party members to attack other party members are the worst?

Sounds like a properly put together wiki made by people who aren't idiots. I like it! XD Actually, I really like it. I'm all for learning as much as you can about any given subject, but sometimes you need specific knowledge and it's very hard to find. Especially if you don't know how to phrase the question.
Especially at high, I'ma-hit-us-all-with-Meteor, levels. O_o Oh man. Charm, confusion...pleh. They can be fight enders.

I'm an atrocious sniper in Destiny. I might hit 1 shot in the mag, and it's a body shot.
I typically watch youtube too, but there's 2 streamers who are so much better live than their recordings.
Destiny 2 gameplay?
