I ate.....
..... for breakfast on Saturday, Cinnamon rolls, milk, and french toast sticks.
For lunch, we had hamburgers,
For dinner, we had smoked chicken,
And for breakfast on Sunday, I got.........next to nothing.
The cooks were so brilliant that they used up all the food by Sunday so all I got was a sliver of a cinnamon roll.

Not cool. How long a drive before you could get something to eat?
I ended up eating Miracle whip and cheese for camp breakfast once. They needed to get rid of it, and I was hungry...
And...why no campfire? Was it a hippy green camp?

Build my own desktop or buy a laptop?
A desktop would just be awesome. I'd absolutely love to build my own, and it'd have more power than the laptop. However... I would just about never be able to hook it up to the Internet, which means no online gaming, no downloading anything, not being able to play a game that requires online authorization... etc.
Whereas with a laptop (a gaming one), I'd be able to bring it to Ferris each and every week. Which means Interwebz each and every week, downloading demos, being able to authorize any game that needs it (HL2 and Mass Effect being two of 'em, both games I want badly for PC), etc.
It's a tough decision. Thoughts?

If you've got the money, a laptop might be better in your situation.
Just make sure you run the specs by me before you get anything.

But yeah... I've been toying with that idea. I looked at a Dell XPS, which was getting pretty good reviews. (it's about $200 more than the desktop I was planning on building, counting the desktop monitor) I still need to check out HP, though.
Any good HP models you know of?

HP Pavilions are really good, just make sure you get a good graphics card.

That'll play Crysis, But I'd be a bit concerned about that 64 bit OS.
Certain older games (I.E. Rogue Squadron or all 16 bit games) don't work on it, or rather, Vista won't let you run them.
Other than that (Which may not be an issue) You're golden.

You may could even fix that 64 bit issue with a download of sorts. I'd Google it.

It's a decent looking laptop overall. But I gotta tell ya, even though I'd love to be able to take it to Ferris and use the Interwebz there... the desktop I'm thinking of building is about twice as powerful, and $300 cheaper.
But that's normal for a desktop, right? Being cheaper and better than a laptop, that is.
