I started looking into them, but I ended up never actually used one. Have you?

My sister swears up and down that Jim Beam is the stuff of legends. I think if it comes in a plastic bottle, you could do better.

Flying?

I relegated Jim Beam to shots only. It's not a good whiskey. That being said, Jim Beam does own Knob Creek, but I much prefer it as a bourbon. I've liked it up there with Makers Mark, and more than Bulleit (not saying Bulleit is bad, I just didn't like it as much). I heard that Elijah Craig is the good bourbon to compare (and often fail) other bourbons to.
Jim Beam (and Wild Turkey), I just found a little substandard, though. I'd keep it around for shots, cooking or mixing. Although I'm more likely to keep a bottle of Jameson around for that.

Flying as in, taking flights for travel? I've done my fair share of that, both cross-country and across the globe. Would I want to be a pilot? Yes, but probably not going to put in the work and money for that.

Scotch preferences? I've only entered the realm via some 12-year Glenlivet, but my experience, however short, was heavenly. I remember you saying Glenmoragie, but I was curious in your thoughts on some common varieties.

The LEGO Movie was absolutely fantastic. I tried to keep my expectations down when I went in, but I naturally wanted it to be great and it more than met them. It started off a little standard-comedy for me, but it crescendo-ed wonderfully. It captured so much of what we love about LEGO and why we love it, both on the surface of the appeal of the construction set, but on a deeper emotional level on why we create and why these resonate with us so much in our childhood as well as our adulthood.

As for scotch, right now, Glenlivet's my favorite. The 12 year is just a great scotch without being so expensive. I recently picked up the Legacy Collectors pack, which has the Glenlivet 12, 15, and 18 year. I gotta say, the 18 year is really good. I loved every drop.

Other good scotch's I had were Glenfiddich (the "ich" at the end is best pronounced with a "ick"), Glenmorangie (pronounced glenMOrangie and not the glenmoRANgie; it helps to roll the R, too. I've been pronouncing wrong when I first picked it up.), and Macallan. I haven't had enough of Glenfiddich or Macallan to really lay it out, but I enjoyed them. Glenmorangie is less floral than Glenlivet and is a little more grounded to me, maybe a little more on the citrus, too. Pretty good stuff.
I do like Black Label, but as I am right now, blended scotchs don't do it for me as much as single malts.

As it stands, Glenlivet is the #1 Single Malt Scotch in America, Glenmorangie is the #1 Single Malt Scotch in Scotland, and Glenfiddich is the #1 Single Malt Scotch in the world.

There's a channel on youtube called Ralfystuf and he does really good whiskey reviews with a nice full bodied Scottish accent, so you know it's reputable (this is where I get the pronunciations). I recommend checking out some of this stuff; on top of good reviews, he gives great advice on how to better explore whiskey. And for a pretty adept whiskey connoisseur, he's really down to earth about it.

Real tough question. Master of Orion 2, Star Control 2, Civilization IV/V and Skyrim take the top spots. But if had to choose one...
