Hmmmm... I think you'd really enjoy Advent Rising. It's a sci-fi shooter, written by Orson Scott Card. Pretty great story.

What else? Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is excellent. It's a FPS/TPS... but the ammo in the game... is living. Living, cartoony creatures. Also the first Oddworld.

I loved Jade Empire. It says "Mature Sexual Themes" on the back... but, as in all Bioware games, it's completely optional, only accessible through dialogue.

Speaking of Bioware, the KOTOR games are awesome, especially if you love Star Wars.

And... there's a ton more. I can't remember all of them, but most of the great Xbox games, you can easily get on the Cube. If you're interested, the Xbox had some awesome adventure games... such as Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and Indigo Prophecy. The latter has some occult stuff, as well as some (optional) sexual material, and the former... I don't know.

Remember, some of these games are rated M. Soooo... yeah.

Kotor is a given, somewhere down the line. And I looked at Oddworld the other day, but not in depth. Thanks for your redommendations. ^_^

No problems. :)

I've never played them, honestly. Battlefront looked okay, but I never had occasion to play them. Battlefield... I played a bit of on the PC, and thought... well, it was a long time ago, it was Battlefield Vietnam, and I played it for maybe 5 minutes. So I can't really remember.

Not sure if I even have a favorite song... I listen a ton of things and then move on, only to come back to them weeks, months and sometimes years later.

But.

Since you're making me choose... It's either Highlands by Bob Dylan or I Am the Highway by Audioslave. :) I especially love those.

Mass Effect's very good, no doubt, but I didn't get "lost" in the game as I did the others.

Hmm... yeah, it was pretty much what I expected (at least in terms of game play).

The story certainly isn't going to set any new standards, but the way it was handled (i.e., an immigrant story in New York City) was very excellent.

In other words, it's not the best game evar, but it does show that an action game can have as deep and clever of a story as an RPG. Without sacrificing mechanics. :)

Anyway, can you recommend any somewhat childish (not kiddy, just...colorful and easy) PS2 platformers? Not for me; my sister wanted game recommendations, and I have little to no experience with PS2's. :oops:

The Sly Cooper games are really good. You might want to look at giving the Jak series a shot (though those games tend to have wildly fluctuating difficulties... the first is the easiest and cheapest) as well as the Ratchet and Clank series.

What else? Hmmm. The Tak games are pretty good... as are the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games, if you're looking for that sorta thing. Past that... maybe Rayman?

Platformers are, sadly, kind of a dying genre.
