The Good, The Bad, and The Weird.

It was awesome. Probably the funniest movie I've seen this year.

District 13

Still good the second time around.

From Paris with Love

I got bored and didn't watch the last half hour.

The Seventh Seal

That was great. Probably gonna have to watch it a couple more times.

Funnier than the first one but "visually" offensive for Men.

Gruesome. Weird. Disturbing. Awesome. The four words I would use to describe this movie.

A

Kung Fu Panda 2

Yep, this is one awesome and hilarious movie. Not quite as good as the first, but still worth watching.

I agree. Also saw it.

Though, disappointed about Van Damme's limited voice acting.

The Killer Inside Me - Didn't like it. It was pretty disturbing, that's not always a problem but here it seemed kind of pointless. The whole movie seemed kind of pointless to me, I don't get what anyone gets out of a movie like this but to each his own. It's probably very artistic and such, it's a Sundance film after all, but I don't really get it and it didn't sit right with me. 5/10, I'd score it even lower but the acting and production design were good and there were some nice 50's songs in the movie.

The Dilemma - Guy finds out his best friend's wife cheats on him. Does he tell his friend or not? This got bad reviews but I liked it. Pretty funny and pretty heartfelt at the same time. Some raunchy jokes, but nowhere near The Hangover levels or anything like that. 8/10

Sleepers - A heart wrenching drama about physical and sexual abuse in a youth institution with an all star cast. It may or may not have actually happened (the book's author says it really happened but there are no records of the lawsuit portrayed in the movie so its authenticity is debated). It's quite good. 8/10

It could be fun for Christian viewers to debate whether you would do what the priest played by Robert de Niro did.

Went to the cinema twice in the past few days...

Kung Fu Panda 2 - I quite enjoyed this. Maybe more than the first one, mostly because there was more 2D animation and I think Lord Shen makes for a much better villain.

X-Men: First Class - Outclasses X3 and Origins; about on par with the first one. Was glad I saw this one, even if I thought the trailers made it look lackluster.

Yeah, I finally caved. XD

Hulk

Pretty good movie. Eric Bana does an outstanding performance of Bruce Banner, though the movie is slightly hindered by a few pacing issues.

B+

The Incredible Hulk

Well, this movie felt like a better movie than Hulk, but I think Norton wasn't as good as Bana. Still good stuff.

X-Men: First Class

Wow. I was really impressed with this one. Easily one of my favorite X-Men movies to date, about the same as the first in my mind. Excellent casting, amazing story, great little tidbits here and there...in all, it is excellent.

The Grudge

Well, despite the complaints leveled against this film, I really enjoyed it. It was decent horror, with a neat concept and some excellent execution.

So I finally figured out why I love this movie and why it's one of my favorite Pixar movies. It's the subtle way emotions are heavily expressed whether it's through posture or the eyes of the robots. Even though this movie came out a few years ago, it's such a refreshing direction than what a lot of movies are today. There's a big focus on subtlety, and as a result there's depth. Fantastic.

PS. Look up the credits on YouTube, it's worth it, just like in most of Pixar's credits.
