Give me some examples of main and spin-off games.

Main:

Super Mario 3D Land (and World), Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Bros, and more.

Spin off:

Paper Mario Series, Mario Kart series, Mario Sports Mix, Fortune Street, Mario Party series and more.

I did not expect Mario Kart to be a Spin-Off.

Well yeah of course it is! Racing is a sport!

In case you have not noticed I am attempting to learn more info about Mario games.

To help me with this, could you define Spin-Off and main games?

Main: Bowser kidnaps Peach, Mario and Luigi then go off to save her. The game can be 2D or 3D depending on the game. The plot changes a bit or a lot each time. Normally only Mario and Luigi are playable but every so often toads join in and very rarely Peach (as playable characters) (then the game would either 1. a different villian. 2. Bowser kidnaps someone else (more than 1 sometimes)).

Spin off games: A whole ton of characters are playable (way more than in the main series). There are normally only minigames/games for players to play (depending on the game). Bowser can do evil plots in these games as well but not in every game and normally aren't as major. Games are normally sports (Mario Sports Mix), Olympic events (Mario and Sonic series), Minigames (Mario Party series), Racing, (Mario Kart series) and others. Plots are in most games but don't really effect gameplay very much and is optional (is required most of the time to unlock stuff).

There are also other series of Mario Games as well that aren't exactly main but aren't spin offs either (in how the story and how the game is played goes).

Favorite Mario Game?

Hang gliding?

Super mario maker, Mario kart 8, super Mario Galaxy 2, and paper Mario the thousand year door. Nope I don't really have a solitary favorite.

Dose Mario Kart 8 have hang-gliding cars? I can't remember if that is in Mario Kart 7 or 8.

It's in both games. When you go off a blue pad the hang glider comes on.

Back then 10

Now 5, it's getting old now and I'm horrible at the controls. The controls don't want to cooperate with me for some reason. I still like the game itself a whole lot though.
