Moon - I'd never heard of this and it was recommended to me on Netflix's instant streaming, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's a pretty solid sci-fi / psychological drama starring Sam Rockwell as a lone astronaut (OR IS HE????) manning a fuel mining station on the moon. Heck, aside from Kevin Spacey's voice, it pretty much only has Sam Rockwell in it. It's a pretty understated story, and it kept me interested throughout, and Rockwell does a great job carrying the film along. The special effects are simple but effective, which was a nice change of pace from most other recent sci-fi movies that constantly throw CG animation in your face. Well worth a watch. A-

True... but they can also be enjoyable sometimes. *considers various movies with The Rock and occasional movie with John Cena*

Watched Knowing by myself after I got tired of playing games. Such a polarizing movie, I think it's quite good but so many people hate its guts for some reason. I can partly understand why, but some criticisms leveled against the movie are really unfair IMO.

I might make a thread about it because I thought we could discuss the Christian symbolism and imagery contained in it. But now I'm too tired so it'll have to wait, have to get some sleep in.

Anyway, I had fun with it and it was very nice to have a night for myself to play a good game and watch an entertaining movie.

I haven't seen Knowing (sadly).

Roger Ebert's brilliant review made me want to see it after initially scoffing.

Plus, it has Rose Byrne. :P

I rather liked Knowing. :P

And I just watched The Social Network... which I also rather liked.

Not sure about the guy playing the new Spidey. I see him being alright for the part... but not so much if he's still in high school. :/

Salt.

Meh. I've seen worse, but that isn't exactly at the top of the heap.

Also, Angelina Jolie makes a ugly man.
