Well, Intel is generally more powerful, but AMD is more cost effective.

I currently use AMD, but I'm considering an Intel at some point.

Eh,
They were bought out by Dell.

I'd check out Penumbra: Overture, first. As after asking that I found out that Black plague is actually the second in the series.

What do you think of this stuff packaged together into one computer?

DVD drive.
Glowing magic case.
500 GB HDD.
Motherboard
Power supplies.
4 GIG ram
Mighty processor!
GFX card with free game ez nice!

The only thing I'm bothered about is that the Motherboard already has a CPU...and I'm not sure how to remove them.

But I'm learning. Actually, that's why I pieced that together. ^_^ I realized (finally) that building is cheaper than buying, so I want to once I get some cash. So this was a practice run, to see if I could. I'm still reading up on how to build to one. This was for fun. :D

That's a solid build.

Except you gave me the motherboard link as the PSU link.

Buuut,

I don't think the motherboard has a CPU on it, I think it means it Supports that processor.

How do I know?

AMD hasn't released a 140W Phenom CPU yet.

If you don't care, I know a way to reduce costs.

Buy a cheaper case.

Again, if you don't care about physical looks, cheap cases are the way to go.

But in your case, it might just be worth getting that case because it looks that awesome.

And good, I'm glad you found out the best money-saving technique for PC building. :D

Less than $1000 if you can.

I prefer it to be as cheap as possible.

Yeah, I figured a different case would save me a bit...

But...it's glowing. Blue. O_O

Anyway, that's cool. ^_^ Of course by the time I get the money, I'll have to upgrade that stuff. :D

Do you think that could handle Crysis?

Depends on what resolution you play it at, but I would say yes...

Oh, wait. Not my thread! Sorry!

Forgive me, DF?

Oh yes, I'm quite sure it can.

Just don't play it at higher resolutions, like Garth said.
