Since I've been reading East of Eden, I've noticed some similar writing qualities, so I was curious.

An influence? Sure. A major influence? I don't know.

What kind of similarities have you been noticing?

I'm not exactly sure... I've just noticed little things here and there that remind me of your writing. When I read East of Eden some more I'll try to find an example.

Well, East of Eden was a major novel for me. I'm not sure how it influenced me, but I remember being blown away by it.

Them Crooked Vultures are good. Problem with the album is that it starts to feel a little repetitive after a bit, so... :/

I figured out what it is that I found similar between your and Steinbeck's writing.

Well, actually, it's more the characters than the actual writing. Cathy, from East of Eden, reminds me a lot of Sara from A Wolf at the Door. I'm not exactly sure why, but she just does.

Huh. Interesting.

Uh... I've been working on some stuff. Dabbling in poetry and working on bits and pieces of stories. I'm still trying to find a pace for myself with life that will allow me to do the things I want to, work and write. Kind of hard to do, especially when writing consumes me.
