I decided to check out some of the Coen's other stuff, so last night I watched some of O brother, where art thou? (one of their few non R-rated movies >.>)

I'm really liking it so far.

EDIT: Just finished it. I loved it.

Unintentionally in the same vein, another Coen PG-13 film: Raising Arizona.

It is absolutely classic, and one of the goofiest movies I have ever seen. I forgot how hilarious it was. And of course, anything with John Goodman is going to rock (including Speed Racer haha).

Raising Arizona gave me some of the highest quality laughs around. So amazing. XD

O Brother, Where Art Thou? is a favorite of mine, as well.

I'll definitely check that one out then, considering how much I loved O brother, where art thou? When I'm old enough I'm totally gonna watch more of their stuff.

And, last movie was School of Rock.

Not quite as good as i thought it'd be, but it was still decent.

I love Raising Arizona... but the best ending from them? That's gotta be Burn After Reading.

Nah. That movie isn't terrifying beyond all reason.

I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. Which, oddly, isn't as over rated as you may think.

I agree...that movie was absurd.

Wow...just...wow.

One of the most tense, thrilling, and best war films I have ever seen. Kathryn Bigelow has done it again.

I don't think it's overrated at all, to be honest. Tim Burton pioneered a style in animated filmmaking with that movie, and it was an extremely risky and brave move on the part of the cast and crew.

Not saying you disagree with that... but just in case anybody here does.

Nah. I heart the movie. It's just one of those one's you hear about all the time. At least I do.

Visually it was pretty impressive... but it felt lacking in the storytelling department.

I...... AM..... BLOWN...... AWAY......

That's one of the best movies I've ever seen. It had a moving story, engaging characters and the visuals were astounding.

I lulz'd. >.>

The Invention of Lying

This movie proves that you can have a load of amazing actors in cameos... and still suck. Edward Norton? Phillip Seymour Hoffman? Jason Bateman? Such good actors... that were unable to do anything for the movie. It had so much potential, but ultimately, I only got a few laughs out of it.
