Pretty cool, but I would've chosen different scenes for the end--scenes that fit the song better.

Just FYI, this thread isn't for youtube movies.

Last movie I watched was RocknRolla, again. I think I enjoyed it more the second time, but it's still not really a favorite.

Johnny Quid has to be one of the most charming characters put across in recent film history. I mean, the guy manages to be immensely likable despite being a selfish, arrogant, drug addict who would rather fake his own death to boost record sales than face life.

Pulp Fiction

Besides the obscene amount of cursing and some tediously long scenes, this was actually quite an enjoyable movie.

District 9

Ehh.

My thoughts are mixed on this. It was fun, and somewhat thought-provoking, but also gross and rather boring at times.

Taken - The apparent awfulness that plagues much of the beginning and a little of the end is all redeemed by the entire middle. What we get is a short, nicely paced action movie about a very real subject. And while some of the acting leaves a lot to be desired, Liam Neeson shows that he still knows how to deal. B-

The Blind Side - Call me a vacuous populist, but I quite enjoyed this little movie. It probably shouldn't have been nominated for best picture, but the story was most definitely heartwarming and entertaining. The portrayal of Christians was positive, but I could have done without some of the materialism, as well as a few choice outfits adorned by Ms. Bullock. B

Let it be known: I freaking love Riley-sensei. He made me wanna see this movie, so I saw it. I then had my mind blown. The movie is phenomenal, and I am more than happy to hear that it's up for a slew of Oscars.

It's bloody, intense, and has more than its share of f-bombs. Fitting for realism (not that the movie was wholly realistic), but present all the same.

So good. Wow. Just... yeah.

It made me sad, because I've been dying to see that movie and haven't been able to get a hold of it yet. :|

Pride and Prejudice

Strictly speaking, I'm only watching one scene on YouTube. But it's a scene I strongly alluded to in my recent letter to a most excellent lady. I decided to watch it again, and I'm glad I alluded to it. It perfectly captured what I meant to convey... and more.

Such a beautiful scene, too. I have no problem admitting to watching it multiple times tonight.

"I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you... I had to see you....All these things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony."
"I don't understand."
"I love you...most ardently. Please do me the honor of accepting my hand."

...Yeah. So good.

Um... you do know what happens at the end of that scene, right?

What's sad is, I've not seen the entire movie and I know.

...It's because my sister watched that movie religiously, along with Gilmore Girls. Man, am I glad that's over. XD

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

Was it the recent one with Kiera Knightly or the A&E miniseries with Colin Firth?

Because... uh... I just got the A&E version from Amazon. On blu-ray.

A little from column A, a little from column B.

But mostly the Knightley version.
