A Christmas Carol

Pretty good, but some scenes took too long. Easily the scariest version of it I've seen.

Hilarious movie. "Wait! You were dating Derek to? THAT 2 TIMING JERK!"

Only people that have seen the movie will know that.

It was funny, but not that funny.

But yes, Bob is by far the best character in that movie.

Twelve Monkeys. Amazing, amazing movie. But if you watch it more than twice, you'll become a Calvinist, and does anyone want that?

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I think Laz is trying to be cool again.

By the way,

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring [Extended]

Not perfect, but as always, it will get an A

Tropic Thunder

A pretty alright movie. I don't understand why everyone was busting a gut over Tom Cruise's character, while funny, he wasn't that funny, and whatever bodysuit they used on him made him look incredibly out of proportion, which just..didn't look right.

Robert Downey Jr. is by far the best thing about the movie, with strong support from Jay Baruchel, Steve Coogan, and Nick Nolte. I'm normally a Jack Black fan, but I didn't care for him in this one. Still a little lukewarm on Stiller, but he didn't have a whole lot to do here as far as acting goes. [I will give him good marks on everything else.]

Overall, a welcome satire. B+

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Meh. I enjoyed bits of it, but on the whole, it was major suckage.

Not really surprised though, since it's a Transformers film.

D-

Race to Witch Mountain

Well, having never seen the other films in the series, I can't compare this to the first ones. However, I enjoyed it for what it was, which was a funny, action film.

B

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

uhh, wow. this was seriously little more than a beefed-up episode. I mean, really, this movie dragged so many times it's not funny. When the movie actually DID something though, it was really good Trek.

C+

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Ahh, now THIS was a good trek movie, with little dragging like in the previous movie. An action-packed movie, with a great plot, but it still doesn't take the title of "Best Trek Film" From First Contact.

The Blair Witch Project.

Too much talking/cussing, imo. But when something actually happened, it was freaky. The ending summed it up well, and actually gave me chills.

B

Paranormal Activity.

Can't decide which of these two movies was scarier, but this was more or less the same: a lot of talking but something happened it a good scare. A few parts in this movie gave me chills, also.
