Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
Technically, I'm still watching it (seeing as it isn't over), but I'm actually enjoying it. It's fun... cute... etc..
...and Natalie Portman has won me over.

Funny People
I admired this film quite a bit. I admired its firm balance between comedy and drama. I admired Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan's chemistry. I admired Judd Apatow's surprising maturity as a director, and especially as a writer. I am very excited to see his career continue in the fields of writing and directing, because I saw lots of depth here. Good, good movie.

Training Day - Solid cop movie about a dirty cop played by Denzel Washington; without him, the movie would have been forgettable. I'm torn between a C+ and a B-... I'll give it the B- because Denzel's performance was fantastic. B-

Love Actually - Slightly mediocre movie with great performances. Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, and Bill Nighy were all exceptional, but this was among a sea of great actors (Alan Rickman, Laura Linney, etc.) Also, it might be worth adding that the Asian version of the DVD has the subplot of the two porn stars cut out. I'm not sure why since Thailand really isn't prone to censoring that kind of stuff, but I'm glad for it.

Stealth
Well, it was better than I was expecting, which was a cheesy action flick.
But it was more than that, it was actually interesting from a plot perspective.
However, at the end of the day, it's just a generic action warplane movie, but a solid one.

Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li
Uhm. Yes. I'm not sure how a movie can be based on Street Fighter and be good at the same time. This movie didn't prove that preconceived notion wrong.
It could have been worse (see also: Street Fighter: The Movie), and I appreciate that the filmmakers didn't try to just make a movie script straight from the game (see above), but it was a far cry from awesome.
Had its fun moments, though. Bison actually was a well designed nemesis, and Neal McDonough played the part well. The movie would have been better had it not tried to be an action film and Street Fighter at the same time.

District 13
A somewhat known French film from 2004 starring parkour-star David Belle? Never heard of it? That's too bad.
I saw the movie a couple years ago, and I remembered liking it. I found out there was a sequel in the works, so I decided to watch the first one again.
It was way better than I remembered. I remembered a cool, edgy, well-produced action flick with lots of parkour. When I watched it last night, it was still all of those things, but it was also dripping with Scarface-like organized crime elements, plenty of social commentary, and conflict between personal worldviews and philosophies.
It. Was. Awesome.
If not for the countless f-words (I watched it with the subtitles, the dubs may not be as bad), it would come highly recommended.

Constantine
I thought this movie was all kinds of awesome when I first saw it a couple years ago. Over time, it's lost some of its draw for me, but I still love coming back to it every now and again. Ultimately, it's solid supernatural thriller with bonus points for a very slick visual style.

Man, I need to see Constantine again. XD
I, Robot
Well, it was interesting alright.....
....but it ultimately just didn't click with me all the way.
Bonus points for James Cromwell, the special effects, and some neat ethical questions, but a movie that could have been better.

The Incredibles
Signs
Both seen a million times before, both good.
And about the last half hour of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Amazing, I need to see the rest of this.
