You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

Why does everyone think that their opinions are fact, when an opinion is just an opinion?

Hmmm... I'd say... first of all... that it's your thread. You started it. Second... differing opinions don't mean that you need to rant. And also... there are other forums for ranting. Employ them, good sir.Obigone wrote:Why do I feel the need to rant in your thread?

See.... I think you should be concerned. Moreso if you end up breaking out in weird boils or hives. And if you have trouble breathing, call tech support. Then go to the hospital.Chozon1 wrote:I accidentally put two different types of face wash on at the same time, a strange chemical odor started emanating from my face. Hmm...That'd been useful...Yesterday.

The point is, have you looked at E-3's lineup of games this year? Even though Nintendo's lists are secret, I have to agree with some random guy on IGN: Sony is ruling as far as releases go.

Well... as much as I'd love to see Microsoft pull out an unexpected "amazing game"... I'd have to agree with both you and the random guy. I have no love for Resistance 2 or Killzone 2 (I disliked both original games quite a bit)... but I really don't like Banjo-Kazooie, either. Like... really bad. I'd play Killzone before I touched a game about an idiotic bear. From Microsoft's front, both Too Human and Fable 2 should be awesome. But that doesn't blow me away. Seems that the best games this year are coming from third-parties. I'm looking forward to Bethesda's Fallout 3 (I didn't like Oblivion largely because of the setting and story... Fallout 3 appeals to my sensibilities much more, at least as far as stories go), Prince of Persia, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.Chozon1 wrote:Hmm...That'd been useful...Yesterday.

I fully expect Nintendo to pull something absolutely amazing out. Like, maybe the next Zelda. Or something new from Retro. I also expect there to be plenty of great-looking third party games announced this year, stuff that I'm sure that I won't be able to live with out. Stuff that I'll never touch. And, of course, there's going to be the new Rock Band song list revealed, as well as Guitar Hero: World Tour's soundtrack. Both of those should be absolutely killer.
The question, as far as I'm concerned, is this: are we going to see established franchises show, or is this E3 going to be a year for new IP? Both Resident Evil 5 and Silent Hill: Homecoming have the potential to be astonishing, and I'd love to see them at this year's show. Again, I'd like to see a proper new entry for Zelda, as well as something on the Metroid front. As for the second question... what will we see of Dead Space or Dark Void? Is Nintendo going to be behind something so amazing that the five people in the world who don't have a Wii (of whom I count myself among) are going to run out and buy one? How about Legendary? Are we going to see a new God of War or a new Splinter Cell (crossing my fingers on both of those, since they've already been announced)? Bungie is teasing for a July 14 announcement of.... something. Will we see that?
There's so many questions.
But to answer (more fully) your original question, I'm not particularly impressed with any of the first-party guys' stuff. I mean... sure. I'll get Too Human and Fable 2. And I'll probably end up with Killzone 2 when I get my PS3 (if I get one). But it's not like there's anything that's all that great coming out. I'm sure I'll eat my own words in a few days, when E3 hits... but GTA4 and MGS4 already hit this year. It's not going to be like last year, where the blockbusters were coming out every (seemingly) month. Which is really too bad.

Yes. You don't get half of the best things from Rock Band for the 360 and PS3... namely, Band World Tour, character creation and downloadable content.Pheonix wrote:Is Rock Band for Wii a ripoff?

Good question.Kendrik wrote:What would you do for a Klondike bar?
I'd diss Star Wars at a comic convention.

You would face a death among overzealous rioters for a Klondike bar? Are you that committed to other things... or is the Klondike bar really your true love?

Eh... I just figured it was drastic enough for a Klondike bar. I mean... I don't love them or anything. But it was just out-there enough to be plausible. Also, I'm committed to other things.Kendrik wrote:You would face a death among overzealous rioters for a Klondike bar?
