Doesn't matter. Old habit is old. And also, if you had stated that as the reason for your bringing that up, as in, "You incorrectly used the word in a proper noun," then there would be no problem.

My dad was the music director at our church for a long time there. He really liked Casting Crowns. I just never grew to like them.

And... I'm not a huge fan of Switchfoot, either. I heard The Beautiful Letdown about 85 times too many.

I think that Stairway to Heaven wasn't backmasked.

And I think that the whole "backmasking" controversy was the result of fundamentalist groups trying to instill fear into others. You want to have satanic messages in songs? There are plenty out there. But they aren't backmasked.

As for actual backmasking in songs... if it adds variety to the music and a new creative technique, then more power to the artist. That's my basic view.
