Would you be surprised if I told you I had a surge of happiness when you mentioned Thrice above?

Doesn't matter. Old habit is old. And also, if you had stated that as the reason for your bringing that up, as in, "You incorrectly used the word in a proper noun," then there would be no problem.Deepfreeze32 wrote:It is actually NOT acceptable in this case.Drewsov wrote:Yes, but I'm big on spelling things the way they're meant to be spelled. And also, "theatre" is an acceptable alternative, so you and your bad spelling can go suck a duck.
The proper name is "Dream Theater" not "Dream Theatre"

Uh... no? XDohnolookout wrote:Would you be surprised if I told you I had a surge of happiness when you mentioned Thrice above?
God is very good, effendi.GarthVader wrote:Okay... well listen to Rich Mullin's Hold Me Jesus at least...

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

Yeah...that happens when you're exposed to me long enough. Or you could've been watching to much reality TV. -_-

What are your thoughts on backmasked songs, specifically Stairway to Heaven?
Government is another way of saying "better than you."

My dad was the music director at our church for a long time there. He really liked Casting Crowns. I just never grew to like them.GarthVader wrote:Why not?

And... I'm not a huge fan of Switchfoot, either. I heard The Beautiful Letdown about 85 times too many.

I think that Stairway to Heaven wasn't backmasked.Strider wrote:What are your thoughts on backmasked songs, specifically Stairway to Heaven?
And I think that the whole "backmasking" controversy was the result of fundamentalist groups trying to instill fear into others. You want to have satanic messages in songs? There are plenty out there. But they aren't backmasked.
As for actual backmasking in songs... if it adds variety to the music and a new creative technique, then more power to the artist. That's my basic view.
