I saw

Forrest Gump - I still like it, but I think I've seen it too many times and it's just getting sappy now. Still, a wonderful story, and wonderfully made.

I've seen it a few times, but this time I watched it with more Marvel knowledge, and it made the movie that much cooler.

Take "Rhodey," the US Armed Forces friend, for example. In Marvel canon, he becomes Iron Man while Tony is heavily on the bottle. Once Tony sobers up and returns to being Iron Man, he creates a new suit for Rhodes, and Rhodes becomes War Machine.

So, in the movie, when Rhodes finds Tony lacking a heart and gets him back into shape... as he's leaving Tony's basement he sees another suit and says "Next time, baby."

The suit is quite possibly War Machine's suit, and his comment is a foreshadowing of what will come of Rhodes.

TOO GOOD

Hear that they'e making Iron Man 2?

Uh... as I recall... Iron Man 2 is coming out before Avengers. As in, like 2 years before Avengers.

No, it didn't. War Zone was a very tongue in cheek, intentionally bad movie. And that made it great.

But not better than the Tom Jane version.

Eh, I went in to see a worthy successor to the Jane version.

It was a reboot, not a sequel.

And it was a very faithful adaptation from the comic books.

GI Joe.

It...was not a serious movie.

But, it was fun.

Give it a B.

Ah, I will be seeing G.I. Joe today, but honestly, I'm not all that excited.

But last night I watched Shanghai Knights.

The music kinda sucks, but it's still as funny as ever.

It was magnificent. There's really not much more to say about it. What a powerful film to watch when going through a time of hopelessness. It hit me hard.

A+

'That is the biggest d*** beaver I have ever seen.'

'Just go ahead and drown me, I don't care anymore.'

'Now what in our entire history together, makes you think I'm capable of doing something like that?'

'Who loves you baby?'

Movie is packed with great lines, many of which I can't post here. <.<
