Well... you get Mac OS X to start with. That can come with a number of packages, like iWork, which is Mac's equivalent of Office (even though Office is available on the Mac as well) or iLife, which includes stuff like iPhoto and iMovie. The computer also comes with something called Boot Camp, which will allow you to run XP from your Mac (or Vista with a different program). You can also get Linux at some point, if you don't want to deal with OS X.
