Distant future? Well... right now, probably Fallout 3. But that's like six months out. Past that... Mass Effect 2. Dragon Age. Diablo 3. Starcraft 2. And, most definitely, God of War 3.

But I was actually talking to one of my friends about that last night. Last year was one of the best ever for video games... there were a ton of major releases hitting, one right after the other. This year? Not so much. Grand Theft Auto 4, MGS4, Fallout 3... what else is there? A new Rock Band and Guitar Hero, sure sure, but that's... you know... to be expected. I want to be blown away by a game again. Seriously.

Because I don't much care for epic fantasy? I don't know. I prefer games to be like essays or anecdotes. They need to have a point.
