It doesn't need to function, just be pretty. You've got a laser diode, some blue led's (or red, but blue is betteh. :D ) and plenty of tiny gears and motors.

I'm planning on building some sort of moving statue with it. but I need solder. Otherwise, I could use super glue. -_- Which doesn't work so well on the electronic components. :D

Would you ever consider taking up a different medium of art than writing?

I actually have. I went to art school for a whopping three months to be an animator. I decided it didn't fit me. I'm a writer. ;)

Paint could taste good. I've chewed, but never had the good sense to swallow. :(
