Actually sounds pretty cool. ^_^

'Cept for the insurance check. -_-

Lego should build "life sized" blocks to build real houses from?

Why is it CZ's discontinuing their beautiful Mannlicher rifles right when I can afford one?

Also, it worth it to spend another $100 to get a wood stock over synthetic?

Way I see it, beyond appearance, the extra weight will lighten the recoil so my dad won't ban me from shooting my rifle if I get a .30-06 after he feels the recoil. <_<'

Also mk. II, what do you think of M1 Carbines?

That's a pretty good idea... though if it ever got struck by lightning, you'd be changed for life. :o

Dunno, that's fail. Discontinuing stuff is always lame. :\

Hmm... I like wood stocks more than syns mainly for the look. But really depends on what you're gonna be doing with your gun. I'd take a synthetic over a wood stock any day if I was gonna be out in harsh conditions and such. Plus if you're going to be walking any long distance, less weight = better.

But there's nothing like the feel of a good wooden stocked rifle in your hands. And it's true, wood does have less recoil. Though imo, 30-06s don't have much to begin with. Maybe it's just my size that makes me think that, dunno.

lol, gotcha. XD

Never seen it. Though I'm soon to be borrowing season 1 from a friend, and will give it a go.

Good stuff, you think?

I laugh in your face now <_<.

Should I stick with the Mosin I set aside, or buy an Enfield to go with it?

Anything > zombies. Too slow. XD

Yeah, got season 3 a little while ago. I've only watched the first episode, as I was going through Deadwood at that time. I've only got two episodes left to Deadwood, then... BSG, here I come. :D

Dude. I so want that. XD

Hmm... I'm gonna say stick with the Mosin, maybe get some quality optics with the cash. Just what I'd do.

Ah, yeah. Some zombies are certainly fast. I mean, just think of the Flood. :o

And that... sounds like a song.

So, I went for the SMLE sporter. And...after a good oiling and cleaning, it's the smoothest action of my three rifles. Granted, before I fully call that, I'll need to get the other two broken in. Slight difference between a 94 y/o rifle and two brand new ones.

Though, it is heavily sporterized. Top of the foreend is removed, along with a good bit of the lower foreend and about 3in of barrel. New front sight as well. Good thing is, it's no Trailer Park Bob gunsmith job. In fact, it's extremely well done imo. Vintage 3-9x Bushnell came with it. Seeing as my parents were with me, I didn't feel like asking for strippers XD. Get some later in case I take off the glass.

I did get 64rnds of original .303 Brit mkVII surplus ammo. 174 grn FMJs.

So, gator, boar, or black bear first?
