By all reports, they have the smoothest factory action overall. Not to mention they really aren't that expensive. Cheaper than a Remmy 700 and I wouldn't have to modify it to make it shoot well <_<. Right now, I'm thinking .22-250 or .204 Ruger, though the .204 is hard to find.

I know you said you aren't too hot on the .22-250, but honestly, imo it's a low recoil, high speed round, only slightly more expensive than a .223, but more powerful. And, though you'll hear debate on this, it's enough for boar with some amount of accuracy, let alone varmints. Not a deer round though. But...my grandpa's offered to buy me a compound bow, so if I want venison, I'll use that.

It's awesome having more money than expected?

Yeah, up to book IV, Wizard and Glass which I'm in the middle of right now. Excellent, excellent series. Possibly my favorite stuff by King I've read so far.

I suppose that could be the case, though we don't have much in terms of spicy stuff these days. Dad hates it, so... yeah. XD

They're coming, but at the moment the truck is at a friend's house. It needs ball joints put in, which we don't have the tools for. Sooo. Gotta go to a mechanic (our friend runs a business). But pics will come, eventually. Just gotta get the truck back. XD

MGS? Good stuff. Have only played MGS4, but it was hands down one of the best games I played for the PS3, and the story was confusing because I hadn't played the others in the series. (I still liked it :o)

You must be playing it, then?

I like them. Not my favorite band, but I certainly do like them.

So, I'm pretty sure atm that I can't afford ammo for any centerfire in the long term. Or rather, any centerfire other than Soviet milsurp. So, I'm thinking CZ 452, Finnish Mosin Nagant M39, and a Yugo SKS to screw around with.

Failing that, I could stick with my jam-o-matic Remmy 597 for a .22 and try for the Tikka T3 Hunter .22-250 which I want with either a lower end Leupold or a Mueller varmint scope.

There's also the Sako Quad, which would be around $1300 for one rifle with barrels in .22 LR and Mag, and .17 HMR and Mach II. I'd still need a scope for that too.

What say you?
