Hmm... does Quidditch count?
If we're talking sports in the real world, how about one that seems completely made up? I'm talking about chessboxing, and yes, it's exactly as it sounds. Two competitors have to endure 11 rounds, which alternate between four minutes of chess and two minutes of boxing. The winner is determined by KO or checkmate.
Here is an article from ESPN if you want to learn more... or just don't believe me.

That sounds extreme.

It's an insane, but genius idea. It's a physical and mental challenge at the same time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes an Olympic sport before too long. It'd be more interesting than curling, at least....

Bees make honey! I like bees. But I don't like wasps and their kin.

Yeah, bees are not bad, but wasps and hornets are annoying. We have a basketball court in our backyard, but the backyard is at a angle. A ton of sand was moved in to level the ground. The court is fine, but some hornets love the sand. They make nests in there. They were not much of a problem, they don't chase people, and there were only a few that dad would shoot with bug spray. Last year, dad did not do anything about them. This year, there are over 100 swarming around. Dad went and swatted them with a badminton racket. It worked really well, he got like 75 over a few days. There were still some left, so I went outside and swatted 41. There are still a few left, but we reduced the population.
Spiders?

Those wasps can be really annoying and dangerous. It's good to track down their nests and destroy them whenever you can!
As for spiders, I like the little guys.

Especially garden spiders. My wife can't stand them, though. So we have a treaty - spiders outside get to live. Spiders inside die. So far it works out well.

Oh, I love a rainy night, I love a rainy night....
Probably before your time.
Here's the song by Eddie Rabbit, if you'd like. But I do like rain, and especially thunderstorms. It's nice to sit on the front porch and watch the lightning dance through the clouds.

Because the lizard guy knows the answers!
... and if he doesn't know the answer, then he'll make up something completely nonsensical. And hopefully worth a laugh.

Only briefly to see what the weather looks like for the next day or so.

If you like weather your should watch it after 8pm eastern. They have really cool shows. It is not the same as seeing the real thing, but it is still cool.
Favorite type of weather?

I don't have cable (it's not even available where I live!) and I don't have a satellite subscription. Nor do I want one - who wants to watch TV when it's interrupted by all those stupid commercials? No, our household has Netflix, our Roku box, and more games than you can shake a stick at (maybe two sticks, even!). Commercial-free entertainment is nice!
