I'm not really fond of hot weather, especially once we get into the high-90s. I tend to prefer cooler weather (which is probably one of the reasons my favorite season is winter).

There have been quite a few games that have surprised me. Planescape: Torment is one of those - I had heard that it was good, but I didn't expect it to be that good. (It's on sale over at GoG.com right now, incidentally.) Another game that I've reviewed which has surprised me with its depth and complexity was Sproggiwood. Since they added a new difficulty mode, I keep wanting to get back into it and try to get more achievements. Alas, where can I find the time? There are so many other games to pay and review....

Stepping outside of video games, another that I've been impressed with has been Fluxx. My eldest daughter and I love this game, and play it frequently. When the game starts, there are no winning conditions. But that can change quickly... just like the rest of the rules! It's an interesting game that can always keep you thinking and considering the cause-and-effects of playing different cards, and in what order. It also can lead to chaotic messes - which can be hilarious fun as well! Especially if you happen to have the "Draw 5" and "Play All" cards in effect.... Oh, and you also need a radioactive potato.

It can be a fun game, but occasionally runs a bit long, depending on the draw.

We got a variation for my son for Christmas that focuses on Angry Birds. It adds a new wild card called the "King Pig." When played, the player declares a color. Every other player needs to draw a card from the deck until they draw a card of that color and play it. They can't play a card of that color from their hand. It's a nasty way to force a bunch of cards into other players' hands, especially if played when the draw pile is low and you're pretty sure no more cards of that color exist. I'm not terribly fond of that variation.

Monoploy? That's about all I can handle. I'm not clever enough to handle multiple ploys at the same time.



If you're talking about the game Monopoly, that's different! It's an entertaining game, but I've read the strategy guide and have decided to adhere with the rules as they exist out of the box. That includes not collecting money by landing on Free Parking. (Which is probably the most popular "house rule," so much so that most people don't realize that it is a house rule!)

Here's a tip for you - build houses. Lots of houses. But don't succumb to the temptation of building hotels. And if your opponent(s) build hotels, build more houses. The reason? There is a limit to how many houses there are in a box. If your opponent gets into trouble and has to sell off their hotels, then they need to replace them with houses. But what if there aren't enough houses to put four on each of their properties? Then they need to sell off their (invisible) houses until they can have the same number of houses on their properties! All of a sudden, that strip of three hotels becomes a strip of three properties with one or two houses on them each! It's time to go for the kill....

I play the Monopoly app. With the right house rules, you can trade money for all the other CPU player's properties. The CPU get enough money from go not to go bankrupt on your properties, and are barely any hazards for you because no one else owns properties. Doing this lets you get infinite money.

I don't really see why this is so hard. How do you talk to your friends? Talk to girls the same way. "Hi! My name is CRCBrony! Did you happen to look at the homework from Mrs. Robinson? What did you get on question number 5?"

If you're looking to form a long-term relationship with a girl, you first need to be their friend. And you make friends with them in the same fashion as you'd make friends with anyone. If you share a common hobby or interest, it makes it much easier. The only thing really holding you back is yourself.

What can you tell me about it? I've poked around a bit in single-player creative servers I've made, but that's about it. Other than adding polar bears and bone blocks, I'm not sure what all has changed. Can you elaborate?

Planescape can be a dark game. But then again, it does take place in the D&D afterlife.

Spoiler:

And the main character dies repeatedly. On purpose.

But it's fascinating in how you can shape the world and the story based upon your actions and dialogue choices. It's an excellent achievement that has inspired many other developers to try and duplicate the process, but for the most part, they tend to fall short.
