It is, yeah. XD

Hmm.

Tough question.

If we're talking hardware, then PS3. Hands down the best, most smooth running gaming console I've ever owned.

If we're judging more on the game library... probably 360 (though PS3 has many exclusives that I have and love/want).

They're both great consoles. The 360 generally has the better controller for action/shooters, whereas the PS3's controller kills the 360's when it comes to fighting games and RPGs (I'm just so used to playing JRPGs on the Sony platforms).

So. Yeah. If you want a near-flawless machine go PS3, if you want a machine you'll have to replace every couple of years ( :P ) but has a very good library of games (especially if you're into action and shooters) then go 360.

Wii... I don't own one (and so can't speak much of it), and have spent the least amount of time on it. I dreadfully want Galaxy (1&2), the Paper Mario game for Wii, MP3, Brawl and Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. But again, I don't own a Wii. XD

I want those games so badly. XD

And yeah. I am thinking of it. Especially now since it's come down to $200. I like that. <_<

I'd probably make it more of a family system though, as I'd hook it up to the downstairs TV.

I hear it's tough to hook it to a monitor. >_<

Yeah, little bit. XD I'd recommend, if/when you get one, don't get MP3, get the Metroid Prime compilation. :D

Oh, yes. That's the way I'd go for sure. The collections looks soooo good. o.o

And.

I don't think I've ever played one.

Contra 4 is on... is it Wii or 360? I don't remember. :/

Ah, I'll have to look for it (at least a demo) next time I hook up to live.

PSN... it's not as good as Live. Not as refined, and a bit tougher to navigate.

However.

It's free. And that right there is a huge plus. And really, it's constantly getting better. PSN today is loads better than it was when the PS3 first launched. XD

Also, as a side note... 360's achievements completely top PS3's trophy system.

Just saying. <_<

Achievements are... just a way of showing what you've done in games.

For example, beat Halo 3 on Legendary and you get the achievement that says you did so. Every 360 games has them (any combination of achievements adding up to 1000 points total). Each achievement you get is added to you gamerscore (beating Halo 3 on Legendary would get you 125 points, not counting the smaller achievements you get for beating each level). It's fun, and really adds a "game within a game".

Some achievements are harder than others to get, obviously. King Kong, for example, awards you the complete 1000 for just beating the game. Other games, like Resident Evil 5, have achievements for everything from beating the game on Professional to making a baddie's head asplode when he's jumping through the air, or knifing an arrow out of the air. It's fun, and is a major draw to the 360 for me. XD

In the end it's just something to brag about, though. :P

Oh. I thought they did something more. XD That's cool, though.

What's the most obscure one you've gotten?

Yeah, can't cash them in or anything. Not yet at least. XD

Hmm.

Most obscure achievement...

Maybe... the one in Crackdown where you have to keep a vehicle up in the air with rockets (shooting it repeatedly) for like 20 seconds or something. That one was weird, but fun. XD

Funny you should ask... as I've been needing new boots for a while now.

Problem is mah foot size is 14 and that's a little tougher to find in the local stores around here. XD

Buuut. Favorite type of shoe is a work boot, easy. Steel toe is a major necessity for me, as it helps in construction... and whenever I go out cutting wood. I have hit my foot once in a while with the chainsaw (as I will sometimes have to brace a log with my foot to keep the blade from pinching). The steel keeps it save. :p

Hah, no. Being tall requires bigger shoes.

Thing is, most stores around here (really just a couple of walmarts a half hour away, anything else is an hour) don't carry past 12-13 in men's, and that's just too small.

I was told sport shops sometimes carry decent boots, but the price will probably be through the roof.
