Try leaving the mouse in the cage overnight (unless you already did that). That's how I get my big boa to eat, as it only eats during the night.Chozon1 wrote:I'm tempted to try putting a pin through the mouses skull. That's supposed to help. I haven't tried to feed him yet, though. I'm praying he eats. O_O
Edit of five hours later:
Nope. Didn't eat. Barely was interested in it. He stared at it as I shook is in front of his head. Especially after I did the skull pop thing (which was, admittedly, nasty). I'm starting to get worried...day twelve without eating. It could have been this batch of mice, I guess. He ate one of them I think. But no others. I have to get him more tomorrow.
Suggestions?
It's possible it's just that batch of mice, but I dunno. It's really, really, really weird for a corn to turn down a meal because he doesn't "like" it. Mine pig down about anything... even my finger if it smells like a mouse... >_<
As to him going without food, well... I wouldn't worry yet unless you see signs of him losing weight. Snakes can go a looong while without feeding, it's just how they are built.
If you happened to throw out the mouse, I'd wait like... four days before trying to feed again. Or however long it is that you used to go between feedings.
Where is he sitting in his cage? Like... does he curl up somewhere and not move? If he's on the hot end constantly, maybe the temps are a bit low. I know it's tough though, especially if you're not wanting to use the infrared bulb. Do you have the heat mat on 24/7 or are you just leaving it off... or on the thermo?
Aaaaaand what wattage is that moonlight bulb?
Sorry for all the questions, but just trying to make sure I know all the facts. XD
Oh, I've read tons of reviews. Most people say it's pretty good (though I as a rule don't trust reviews and prefer to go on what friends say). I want it, but am just waiting for it to come down in price. XDGarthVader wrote:Think you'll buy Dragon Age after seeing some reviews and stuff?
