Actually, I didn't! I was just looking for live ones. I'll have to take a look the next time I'm at a pet store.
Chozon1 wrote:Although...if the moose/meese consume misery and Volkswagen's, wouldn't they actually be handy to have around? Heroes in their own right?
Not necessarily. You know how gardeners, if they want strawberries they will plant strawberry plants? Flying vampire moose are like that - they cause misery in order to feed. And if you own a Volkswagen... well, that's just an invitation to have misery visited upon you when an 800+ moose drops out of the sky onto your vehicle. Hopefully you're not driving it at the time....

I think you're going about this all wrong. Instead of fearing the meese, you should capture them, and allow them only to feed upon the misery that happens naturally. Antidepressant vampiric moose petting zoo! It's like a dinosaur themed island resort; there's no possible way it can fail, or go horribly, horribly wrong.

Some movies just can't escape foreboding?

So I haven't started editing my NaNo story yet, in part because I don't feel ready to (I want to forget as much of it as I can to approach it more objectively), but I started working on a new story. And now I'm having a few nagging doubts.

How can one tell if their prose is interesting, or dull? I must admit to being somewhat indifferent for my own personal preferences, but I realize that I'm not like most people. :P

Or plots, too. I'm visualizing scenarios for the flying vampiric moose petting zoo right now.... You do know that vampires have the ability to assume a gaseous form, and hypnotize other people, don't you? So why not flying vampire moose?

That's OK. I still haven't finished mine.... Sure, I hit 50,000 words, but I have two or three more chapters to go....

A lot of that will come from "test marketing," as it were. Get feedback from other people to determine if the writing is dull, or if it's too much. Because what you find interesting may not be what your audience finds interesting.

He was quite the talented actor, and had some great roles over the years. His presence will be missed.

Just keep their cages surrounded by the field generated from a Particulate Layer Oscilloscope Transformation device. That'll keep you, and your customers, safe.

Good thinking! Only... mine blew up when I was trying to break the light barrier on my skateboard. Do you happen to have a spare?

 They would have to be some form of undead, since they couldn't actually fly a spacecraft....

I did. I always keep multiple PLOT devices on hand. Until last week, when it got used. You'll have to do a fetch quest to get one now. -_-

Amish Vampires in Space is actually a very good book.

When you spend two weeks proof-reading, then find a typo in a casual reading?

Is it an actual book? I'll have to check it out now....

Happens more often that I'd care to admit....

It could be. I seldom go there. Just when there's a link to a discussion about Christ Centered Gamer that I follow from Twitter. Is there anything there you recommend?

Oh yase; it's real. And good.

The sequel, Amish Zombies in Space, is perhaps less so...but I read it when camping, so maybe it was just being in a tent in the dark forest that made me lose some enjoyment.

Not really. I mostly use it for gaming purposes.

Yumminess! Lately, we've particularly enjoyed Foster Farms' jalapeno corn dogs. Add some good quality mustard and/or barbecue sauce, and you've got one of the most perfect foods made.

I would have to say Matthew, because one of my favorite passages happens to be the Sermon on the Mount. There are some great lessons to live by in those three chapters.
