I aspire to that as well. I've taken up proofreading again, with Christmas behind me. I'm trying to get it done in time to get my free hard copy from FastPencil.
Soup is just not that filling?
Go ask the lizard-guy something....

I actually managed to get about another thousand words written yesterday.Chozon1 wrote:I aspire to that as well. I've taken up proofreading again, with Christmas behind me. I'm trying to get it done in time to get my free hard copy from FastPencil.

Then you've been eating the wrong soups! Of course, I prefer my soups so thick they are more properly called "stews," but that's just me....Chozon1 wrote:Soup is just not that filling?

Yeesh, where to begin? I really enjoyed the platformer-puzzle game Braid, and the FPS-puzzle Portal franchise. If you're talking about casual puzzle games, I can find enjoyment in a quick game of Bejeweled now and then. And then there's the classics, like Tetris.... There are too many to choose from!Emwok wrote:Favorite puzzle game?

Cool tapes! ^_^ I'm hitting the point in the book now where I'm starting to dislike what I wrote, and I'm sort of struggling not to try and rewrite it. I never officially took a break. At least, not a long enough one to count. I am going to change the ending though, as there's just no logical reason for ending it the way I did.

That's a perfectly normal reaction. Years after a work is published, some authors will still agonize over the way a scene was written, or a specific word used. So you might continue to feel that way even after your book lands a movie deal and you're cashing in your sixteenth five-figure royalty check.Chozon1 wrote:Cool tapes! ^_^ I'm hitting the point in the book now where I'm starting to dislike what I wrote, and I'm sort of struggling not to try and rewrite it. It's not a problem I have very often, except for my hands. In fact, I often tend to go the other way - my skin is often too oily.Chozon1 wrote:Dry skin?
Now, if I were really a lizard-guy, I'd be able to shrug off dry skin. It's perfectly normal, after all....

Heh. I won't ever reach that level...not sure I'd want to, honestly. It'd be nice to get some income from it though.
When you're trying to think of something intelligent, and the only thing running upstairs is a black screen with 40's big band music?

I can't say that I've ever had that happen. Sounds horrific, though. I'm not fond of big band music....Chozon1 wrote: When you're trying to think of something intelligent, and the only thing running upstairs is a black screen with 40's big band music?

It's not as bad as it sounds. Though I'll agree that a different music choice would be nice. Reggae, maybe.

I haven't had much experience with it, but some of it, I like. Hummus is tasty.Chozon1 wrote: Mediterranean food?
Of course, since Italy is in the Mediterranean, if you're including Italian food, then I love it!

We don't have any of those here.Chozon1 wrote: Giant icy frogsharks?
The bears around here regard them as a delicacy. Especially when they're babies, before they get to the "giant" stage.
Of course, the only thing the bears around here are afraid of are moose. Because everything's afraid of moose. Moose are scary. Especially vampiric flying moose. /shudder

What if it was friendly, and only fed upon demon monkey's?

I don't recall finding any demon monkeys at the pet store, though. Would it remain friendly once it gets hungry enough?Chozon1 wrote:What if it was friendly, and only fed upon demon monkey's?
And which are we talking about, giant icy frogsharks, or flying vampire moose? If we're talking about the moose, keep in mind that they only feed off human misery and Volkswagens.

Moose; though the idea is applicable to the frogshark as well. And did you check in the frozen section? They're usually by the mice.
Although...if the moose/meese consume misery and Volkswagen's, wouldn't they actually be handy to have around? Heroes in their own right?
