Dude, that's ridiculous. There's good singing. Unless you mean the auditions, then yes, there is usually crappy singing. Good singers that have been on AI, though, are Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis, etcetera, and this season has some good singers, too. But... I can see where you're coming from. *coughTaylorHickscough* O_o

But let's not turn this into an Idol debate. And next time, please post that you last watched American Idol in the "What was the last show you watched?" thread. Because offtopic spam isn't funny.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Good CGI... Nice fight sequences... Horrible acting... Sappy love story... Overall, it's the weakest Star Wars episode in the whole series. Could've been much better.

Sean Connery is excellent, but choosing the best Indiana Jones movie is awfully hard...I don't even have a metaphor for it...

I just watched Three Amigos. If you are looking for old-school corny humor, check out this one. I found it to be very funny. B+

Three Amigos! I haven't seen that movie in ages upon ages. I remember finding it very funny though.

The last movie I watched was Jumper. I really wish they would have explained it more. Even besides that, it still wasn't the greatest movie. At least Hayden Christenson has improved...I think.

Beowulf

I kind of had high hopes for this movie. I had to read the poem for school and I really enjoyed it-probably because it was the inspiration for Tolkien's LOTR.
The movie, on the other hand, had Beowulf lying about his quests, cheating on his wife, making STUPID bargains with Angelina-Jolie-look-alike-demons-with-high-heels, and bragging all the time. I mean-it's good to show that nobody's perfect, but can we try sticking to the original plot, here? Pleeeeze?

Sorry, guys, it's a little something called "artistic license." When an amazing writer can take the bare-bones framework for a story, and turn it into something dark and foreboding, as Gaiman did with Beowulf, then they will.

I do like Neil Gaiman.

I don't have a problem with "artistic license"-but I do think they went too far. I actually found that I didn't like Beowulf at all. Granted, I read the poem a long time ago, but from what I remember Beowulf wanted to be a role-model. He wanted to be GOOD. In the movie, it looked like he just wanted fame and glory.

And Angelina Jolie was too much. If Beowulf hadn't had a teenage mistress later in the movie, she might not have bothered me so much. But the high heels made me laugh.

I did like Grendel, though. The actor who played him gave him such vivid emotions-it was amazing. He looked gross, too. Which was good.

Remember, though, the various reinventions that have come throughout literature. We wouldn't have Shakespearean plays without reinvention.

Lets also not forget that Forests fires cause more harm than good. To their immediate surroundings and after effects.

Some poetic license is fine with me. But over doing it ruins movies and other shows.

Some examples: Transformers, LOTR (Mainly #2, but the whole theme of Aragorn trying to decide if he wanted to become king bugged me. Tweren't in the books.) War of the Worlds.

Those three were high in expectations, and all but one of them utterly failed in my eyes.

Change the story a little: Good thing mostly

Change it alot: Bad, bad thing.

Anyway, the last movie I saw was Snippets of LOTR.

Little Miss Sunshine

Not as good as I was hoping, not as bad as it could have been. Definitely a sweet story with some humor thrown in, but nothing really spectacular. It had Steve Carrel in it, though, which is always a good thing.
