The Spiderwick Chronicles
Much better than I expected, especially seeing as it's a Nickelodeon production. It was really fun, the acting was decent, and the graphics and scenery were fantastic. I'd definitely recommend it as a family movie; even moreso if you've got kids. On the downside, I didn't see much of a moral message to it. There was a little, yes, but it was quite subtle, and I don't see how any little kids could draw from it. But it's still an entertaining movie. A
Martian Child
This movie was incredibly touching. John Cusack did an amazing job, as did the kid that played, er, the kid. Touching, heartwarming, very good acting... And the message was great. All in all, it deserves a solid:

The Terminator
I thought it was about time I see this movie...that was a waste of time. Terrible acting, pretty lame plot, and the action scenes were just blah. Mostly just Arnold going around and shooting everyone. Yet, as bad as the movie was, I'm strangely compelled to see the other two Terminator movies. Probably in hopes that they're better. Meh.

I'm dying to see Reign on Me. I might just have to go to Blockbuster tomorrow and watch it after work. Good to see that you liked it.
Dear Frankie
A very sweet film, and much better than I thought it was going to be. I totally want to speak in a Scottish accent from now.
Oh...and seeing Gerald Butler (the guy from 300) playing a sweet, sentimental character is awesome. And, what's more, he does an amazing job.

Last movie I watched... Dangit, I can't remember. I'm still wishing that I had time and money to see There Will Be Blood and No Country in theatres, though.

I don't have time to watch a movie, because I'm watching the Oscars. Oh yesh.

That wasn't very nice, esophagus. I'm afraid I can no longer be your friend. This makes me so sad.esophagus wrote:
I just watched 3:10 to Yuma. It was the worst movie I ever saw. I hate it more than that other bad movie that I hate. It sucked. Anyone who likes this movie is dumb. Really. I hate Obi-gone.
You may now open fire.

Blades of Glory
I still love this movie, even though I've seen it probably four or five times. One of my favorite Will Ferrel films (he's hot and cold), and it's also the only film that I like Jon Header in aside from Napoleon Dynamite. Hilarious movie.

Michael Clayton
I forgot how much I enjoyed movies like this. At its core, Michael Clayton is a thriller, but it is a smartly written one that transcends the cliches garnered by most films in this genre. Sharp editing cuts reminiscent of the Bourne movies, along with intrigue that brings to mind an old John Grisham thriller (The Firm... though this movie is quite far from that mafioso lawyer flick) make this one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...
