just don't ask Drew.
I think they're pretty good.
Anyways,

Dune is good stuff. Deep book though. Took me a month to read. XDNix wrote:Well uh. I don't judge a band on the "words". Ever.

Ah.
And yes. Yes I have. The old one? Not sure if there's a remake, but I've seen the old movie. One of my dad's favorites, and pretty good.

It's a bit corny at times, but not bad.
Classic sci-fi, if you will.

I'm thinking about putting the UTH back on the thermo. I've got it up on three lego's and it still hit's 95 degrees. What say you? I've got that heat lamp, and easy access to replace it.

So, I was brainstorming for a story today, working on the naming of the characters. And I had already decided that Angel (a female, by the way) would be the name of one of them, but then I was trying to think up a last name. I briefly decided on Angel Willow, but then was like, wait, what?

Eh, 95 ain't that bad. Is Jayne sitting on it all the time? I swapped the heat mats on the corn and king cages, as the corn had an old mini and the king had that one that I just couldn't use (too big). The king's heats up to around 96-ish and he doesn't seem to mind... he's always up high between tank and screen, so I'm thinking he's fine temp wise. Buuut yeah. 95 isn't going to kill your snake (won't even burn him, trust me; that ain't that bad at all), and they're usually smart enough to stay away from something if it's too hot (corns are, boas/pythons... notsomuch; they tend to prefer to burn themselves rather than go in the cold area, it seems XD).
Buuut yeah. Is that 95 degrees directly on the glass, or through the bedding? And does Jayne burrow under the newspaper or use the hides?

That's through the bedding. And earlier, it was up to 98. His favorite spot currently, is on the side of the cage, between the glass and the paper.
Honestly, I'm kind of afraid to put it back on the thermo.
It get's nice and hot in there during the day, but even on the hot side, it drops to 85 at night. It's super cold for my area, at the moment. I did tear him a hole through which he can crawl under the substrate. Which is something he missed. Also, I found out he likes it when I hold him. <3 That's not something I exactly expected from a snake...I feel stupid now.

Through the bedding, Okay. Well, still... I'd rather let him have that optional "constant" heat source. It's just personal opinion though, as many out there like to use thermostats on mats (some mats NEED them, though... especially if you get into flexwatt).Chozon1 wrote:That's through the bedding. If he's Okay as it is, just let it be. Why change something if everything is golden?

But do keep an eye on it, just in case.
Also, is that temp reading directly on the substrate/glass at night/day (the 85 and 95 readings), or is it air temp? That's too hot for air temp, but is fine for a basking spot I think (for your typical corn it's a bit on the warm side, the 95... but Jayne is a baby, and from what happened earlier before with the regurgitation... well, I'd leave it warm... just make sure he's got a cool end to go to).
And I'd also recommend moving the thermometer prob to the other side of the cage to check the temp (on the bottom of the cage), just to make sure it's right. And by move it I mean... just move it for a little while, like fifteen minutes or something. Don't keep it there. XD
lulz, yes. You'll find many snakes love to be held. You know that nippy baby gal I got recently? Well, she's completely tame, and puts up a struggle when I put her away; she loves being held. Same with the king, the big boa... corn, um... yes and no. Loves coming out, but more to explore than anything. XD
So yeah, many snakes like to be held. Granted, some species and individuals don't... but many captive breds do.
Pink lemonade ftw. ^_O

My favorite... whoa, hard stuff to choose.TripExistence wrote:Fellow Subway lover, do you have a favorite sandwich/combination?
Buuut in the end I'd probably have to pick a roast beef with American swiss (or any cheese really) and all the veggies available and mayo. Preferably on a bread with some garlic taste to it (they've had them in the past, but I can't recall the exact name of the bun).
Sooo gooooood.

My favorite sandwich is definitely this: Italian BMT on toasted parmesan oregano bread with lettuce, pickles, olives, jalapenos, mayo, and to top it off, sweet onion sauce.
Yum.

Niiiiiiice choice. Makes me want one. XD
Hmm... most relaxing band. Probably Audioslave (<3). Or maybe Nine Inch Nails.
Make sense? No, probably not. But I find their music more relaxing than most of what I listen to. XD
You a fan of Audioslave?
