I'm actually really impressed. I'm a big fan of the streamlined look that they've given it, and I think it's awesome that you can now download games onto the hard drive. I put Rock Band 2 onto my HD, and booted it, played a few songs... load times are insignificant now. It's awesome. My only problem is the Marketplace... it seems to be having quite a few bugs which are pretty annoying. Oh well.Strider wrote:Your opinion on the NXE?
They'll iron them out.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

You pick up a Gold Membership yet? I got 3 months on mine, waiting on you. No rush. Only got RB2 and GoW2 at the moment, besides an RPG or two, I may just have those games for online. THERE'S NO WAY I'M TOUCHING HALO 3.

Sorry, I should have told you. Yeah, I picked up a Gold membership. I'm sticking to buying the $7.99 cards until I have a constant income... because I'm really that cheap.Keero wrote:You pick up a Gold Membership yet? I got 3 months on mine, waiting on you. No rush. I'd recommend waiting until it goes down in price. It's supposed to be a good game, just very short. Like, ridiculously short. I hear you can finish the main game in just a couple of hours; if you do speed runs, the total time is something like 72 minutes.Strider wrote:Should I ask for Mirror's Edge for Christmas?

Yeah...$50 for around an hour of gameplay just doesn't seem that great.
Would you recommend a game for him to ask for, for Christmas?

Hmm. Good question. It really depends on the type of game that he's into, and what his parents would allow him to play. If you're looking for action, I seriously recommend Gears of War 2. T-rated action, hit up Spider-Man Web of Shadows. Other good ones would be Need for Speed: Undercover, Far Cry 2, Fable 2 and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I'm also hearing that Legendary, Left 4 Dead and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe are all very solid, strong picks, the latter being the first T-rated MK game since, well, ever.Chozon1 wrote:Yeah...$50 for around an hour of gameplay just doesn't seem that great.

Did you know there have been several MK T-rateds?

@Above, Legendary is a very very broken and so-so game. 2.5 from IGN, ouch.
Most hated and loved track on RB2?

I'm hoping my aunt is going to buy me Gears 2 (my parents will probably approve of it with the filter and all). And I'm thinking about asking for Left 4 Dead, but it's pretty gory, so I don't know.Drewsov wrote:Hmm. Good question. Anyway, you know what game you forgot to mention?

Why does Pheonix always ask the wrong people about the wrong things?
