That's an interesting an idea...but I'm not sure I understand why it would need to be so?

Well, think about it. After Adam's fall, God made it so that women would have children, men would have to work, the world would work against them rather than for them, etc. The implication I've received from reading Genesis is that none of these things existed before the fall. Basically, Adam and Eve would not have become mortal - fully human - if the fall had never taken place.
Or at least that's my impression.

What would you do if you got a Corvette for your birthday.

A truck would be a good swap. We could haul things in the bed, and we wouldn't have to borrow other peoples'. Of course, if I wanted something really heavy duty and money was no object, a Buffalo looks pretty good....CRCBrony wrote:Like a truck?

If I wanted a "nice" car, I'd probably go for a Mazda RX-8 or a similar "muscle" car. But I tend to take the practical approach first - what would be best for my family?

.I will intensify your labor pains;
you will bear children in anguish
Given "intensify", I've always taken that verse to mean childbirth would hurt more, but wasn't itself a part of the punishment. The deuce with the planet; working the ground itself wasn't a punishment, but rather that, like you said, the planet would work against them now. Or at least, not work with them.
That would, at least to my mind, also imply that the earth was created by God flawed to being with. instead of "good". Could be I just need a cookie, though. I came up with that before breakfast.
Why is there no pizza?

I'm not saying you're wrong - after all, there are many ways to interpret different portions of Scripture.Chozon1 wrote:Sstavix wrote:Well, think about it. "What ifs" can be fun!

Because you haven't baked it yet, silly! Remember, hold the mushrooms. Unless you're in Avernum, of course....Chozon1 wrote:Why is there no pizza?
I haven't heard the greatest things about Dodge vehicles (or, indeed, any of the "Government Motors" since the U.S. bought them out...). Plus, I like Mazdas, for some odd reason. I might consider a Ford pickup, but most of my interests in (commercial) cars lies in foreign ones.CRCBrony wrote:What about a Dodge Ram 3500 HEMI? Well, he wouldn't; that was my bad. I meant when Jesus came here, in our universe, Satan (in the game, at least.) fled for a short time, and since the door to Gentlenight was open again, he tried to tempt the people in their universe, and their Adam fell.Sstavix wrote:I'm not saying you're wrong - after all, there are many ways to interpret different portions of Scripture. It would be interesting to see what God's plan would be in that type of scenario, though. I do have to wonder... why would Jesus need to come to Earth to show us the way if mankind was sinless at the time?

Fun times.
And for the record, my hands are tied on making pizza. There's a chance my mum is severely allergic to tomatoes, so we've embargoed them from the menu.
Except for ketchup. Because my mom wouldn't let me try to live without ketchup. @_@

Interesting! So there's a bit of a multiuniverse angle there, too. Sounds intriguing!Chozon1 wrote:

There are pizza recipes that don't use tomatoes or tomato sauce. Like creamy garlic!Chozon1 wrote: And for the record, my hands are tied on making pizza. There's a chance my mum is severely allergic to tomatoes, so we've embargoed them from the menu.

For myself, I don't mind ketchup at all, but if using it as a dipping sauce, I tend to prefer a tangy barbecue sauce.

Actually, my second daughter - the one who wants to be a entomologist - does like spiders. If they're inside, she tries to take them outside before my wife finds them and squishes them. She likes all the bugs... except mosquitos and flies. Oh, and ticks.

I actually tend to carry spiders outside too (or, uh...ignore them. Much to my parents chagrin) too, but when I'm walking through tall grass at night, and see multiple spiders around me the size of a small doughnut, I get a bit uncomfortable.
