Kentum Adds New Gameplay Modes Ahead of November 6th Launch!
Get your survival, base building, and metroidvania fix all in one place
[Oceanside, California - October 21, 2025] – Developer Tlön Industries has revealed that their highly anticipated open-world survival crafting game Kentum will now launch with three distinct gameplay modes—Story Mode, Creative Mode, and Sandbox Mode—offering players new ways to experience the vast, ever-evolving world of Kentum when it releases on November 6th, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
In Story Mode, players will follow Kent’s journey as he awakens after a millennia-long nap to a world transformed into a strange yet intriguing landscape to explore. Through humor, scientific knowhow, and gumption, players will uncover the mysteries of this far-future Earth while building, crafting, and automating their way to a thriving base of operations to save humanity or live out a lifetime of being constantly cloned.
For those who prefer boundless creativity, Creative Mode allows you to build freely with infinite resources—no hunger, no danger, and no limits. Construct elaborate bases, test automation setups and share your creations with the Discord community all while dealing with sassy commentary from your 'helpful' companion Orb.
Meanwhile, Sandbox Mode strips away the narrative to focus purely on the survival experience, challenging players to fight giant spiders, tame carnivorous plants, mitigate massive shifts in the weather forecast, and make due with so few resources that even Kent’s corporate overlords would be in a tough spot. It's up to you to decide how you spend your time in the wild, weird, and wondrous world of Kentum!

Whether diving into Creative Mode to build to your heart’s content or tackling the survivalist approach in Sandbox Mode, there are many exciting ways to experience Kent and Orb’s adventure when the game launches on November 6th.
